People are scared that someone else can't play what Akshay Kumar played.
But people forget that no one can replace Vidya Balan's acting in this film. No twisted knees, no white eyes, just sheer expressions. Just her expressions scared people. That's acting people. It can't be covered by vfx or technology.

No one can beat the performance of Vidya Balan in Bhul Bhulaiya (not even Kirana Advani) and the singing of Shreya Ghoshal.
