I find it wild that some people still say pretty privilege does not exist

crazy how the men only had three things but the women had angles and a certain body weight no matter your height, and a whole lot of other bs. the misogyny is crazy TT

The Korean beauty standard is really toxic, my mum still thinks starving yourself is an ok way to diet

My fellow community
Remember to never demonize carbs and sugars
Your body and brain requires calories, carbs and sugars
Literally running on this nothing burger food literally will make you sluggish and feel actually dead and starving

i was 18 when i went to korea with my family. i’m SEA, 5’8, and not stick skinny. so imagine a big tall tan girl (and blond at that time… just to add a cherry on top) MANNNN people were looking at me crazy. i walked by this grandma at the subway station and she literally did a double take at me, head whip at all, and she had a look of horror, like i was a wild animal. i went back to our airbnb and cried in the bathroom LMFAOOO 😭 im 26 now and can laugh about it but wow that experience was brutal

As a 4'11 woman, I can hardly fathom that I would have to be between 90-110 lbs to be considered a desirable weight in South Korea...

The standards are set so high in South Korea, and in other countries its hard to think you'll be accepted. Including social media. But Kenji's community makes me feel accepted. 🔥
