this is a powerful description of what our people are doing on Mauna Kea - the protection of the earth is what is needed for the renewal of our world, to change from chaos and return to balance - all indigenous peoples have deep cultural values that must be remember and most important given breath or life by the way we live our lives - we hold the keys to the ancient knowledge (all indigenous peoples including us) - he havai'i, pohaikawahine   we are waking from a deep sleep!!!

So much emotions watching this video!  Thank you so much for explaining Kealoha, it was nice to hear the whole story instead of half! Pist me off on the rape logic and then we right into the Kupuna issue and i just flipped crying! I still dream of our Kupuna taking a stand! Kealoha is very good at explaining the sacredness. A lot of people don't understand and she has a foot in understanding both mindsets. She should be more on the forefront of this if this movement wants to make the "other side" understand. She has a logical way of explaining all of this

Being Hawaiian and not being able to be raised in Hawaii with my people has been extremely hard over the years. Not knowing my own peoples language and all of the other things that I will never get to know about my people because they are lost to so many generations due to my people being wiped out when Captain Cook and others that followed discovered the Hawaiian islands. It’s so sad and so many people must feel just as lost as I do by us having our way of life stolen from us. We have our own kingdom, The Hawaiian Kingdom.

An economic stimulus project that stimulates the economy of the few at the expense of the many.

This was very informative. Mahalo. I am a native born Hawaiian now living in Tucson Arizona. When I was growing up we were never taught any of this. I was born in 1948 and left O'ahu in 1969. I must admit that I am torn between two worlds and sometimes it is difficult for me to understand what I should or can do. That is what is the right thing. I am also a Christian and a member of The
Church of
Jesus  Christ of Latter Day Saints. And as such have been taught to be a good steward of the earth for it is God's and he has given me a charge to take good care of it.
What was said here touched my heart in many ways. I believe in peace and kindness and have found a way to practice it through aloha.
Although I do not worship the ancient gods and goddesses I respect you and your beliefs. I love the na mele and na oli  and want to support this effort to stop corporate greed from totally destroying what is left of the aina not to mention the earth itself.
