Unboxing a 1 of 4,000 1990 Marvel Universe Premier Edition Tin!

Spidey Hits | Marvel Cards & Collectibles

Today we’re opening one of the rarest early Marvel trading card products ever made — the 1990 Marvel Universe Impel Series 1 Premier Edition Tin!

Only 4,000 of these tins were produced, making them one of the toughest Marvel Universe items to find sealed today. Inside could be PSA-worthy gems from the legendary 1990 Marvel Universe set that helped define Marvel card collecting.

In this unboxing, I’m hunting for clean, high-grade copies to potentially send to PSA for grading. With PSA 10 examples from this set selling anywhere from around $150 all the way up to $10,000+, the stakes feel VERY real every time a card comes out of the pack.

Will we find gem mint Spider-Man, Wolverine, Venom, or hologram cards worthy of grading? Let’s find out.

Cool video! There is something great about opening cards from our childhood. Nostalgia is a powerful drug!

Great vid! Those holograms are sweet. Weirdly enough, holograms seem to be heating up across the sports card market. Some 1991 Upperdeck Michael Jordan holograms that used to feel like $500 cards are now showing recent sales in the $3k–$5k range. Not sure if it’s nostalgia, low PSA 10 pops, or collectors finally waking up to 90s inserts, but something is definitely happening

You definitely make your money back off the hologram cards , especially the spider man , it looks like a 8,9 at least. I've been checking out your videos,Thanks for keeping the marvel card community alive...Bx love

Thanks for sharing! I really enjoy 2013 fleer retro. They did a throwback insert to the 1990 impel. And instead of a massive print run they printed around 5400 boxes making them harder to find. Great cards!

I bought this the base set for $29. Grading Ironman , Stan Lee, Moonlight and Black panther. It was in good nick, in plastic sleeving, no Holos.

Cosmic Spidey looks like a 9 which means PSA will prob give it an 8.

I put all cards no matter the condition in at least penny sleeves. This way they don't get any worse.

maybe I need to take a look at mine. I bought over 7 boxes when they came out and picked the most centered copies for the two sets I have.

I had a lot of these holograms and cards. They either got lost or people stole them.

Great video, the nostalgia…. When grading, do you always go with PSA? What are your thoughts on CGC

I have one of these tins, still unopened but it's been in my garage for 20 years, do you think the holograms would still be in good condition?

Looks like a dinged corner is present on a good number of the cards? Lower right for cards you have to rotate when taken off the pile...cool opening nonetheless
