I've been practicing street photography for 50 years now and have written a book on the subject. I couldn't summarize the essentials any better. The only thing I would add is that, for best results, it needs to become a practice: something you do repeatedly and habitually. Your eye and reflexes need regular exercise to function at maximum efficiency The most any teacher can do is point you in the right direction; the actual journey is up to you.

Thank you for taking the time and putting this video together .I have picked my camera up again after nearly 6 years and I have been sinking in the amount of videos I have watched and saved .But your video is very head and shoulders above anything else that I have watched .It may be the shortest but it over flows with knowledge and information given in a very professional but relaxed manner . Best video on photography Ive seen so far. Just started in January with an SLR film camera. I've always taken polaroids and tried to be artsy for years, and finally I've gotten into the 35mm film world. This video had the best advice I've seen since I've started. Thank you. Great production as well

I started shooting street photography one year ago. Walkie-talkie was my entry point. I first started in Minneapolis, then I moved to Portland, Oregon, and have been shooting every day almost here as well. your channel is so inspirational, you are so good at these photography videos! also Your pictures are great, but your teachings are actually super useful and exactly what I have found through a lot-lot of work on the street. I hope someone that’s brand new sees this and it helps them, but this video even helps people who have done it a lot, so thank you! what took me a year myself of shooting was the hardest part of your video- “what do you like?” i have shot millions of things and suddenly now i realize who i am, and now its so much easier to get good shots! great advice.
