When I saw that YOU captured Junior 161, Zephyr, Joe 182, and Barbara 62 tags....you became the ultimate digger of the old graff...big props to you, my friend! Thank you for making me gasp in excitement over this!

I wish I could bring back all this "mystery-feeling" about graffiti...

Damn, crazy that you can still come by some of the stuff from early era! Respect for taking your time to document it and share with the world.

Definitely document all this stuff. There's so much out there that so few people can actually decipher like you can, and most of it ends up getting destroyed and disappearing

"This might be the only place where New York is still New York"

It's interesting to me or I don't know the word to describe. But it's crazy to see the proof from the architecture and buildings how they were building up something to be great and strong and how early America was filled with promise and hope and progress. Then to think of the burnt buildings and poverty and struggle in the late 60s into the 80s of course beyond but how it fell really hard back then. Mixed with drugs, crime and degradation, struggle...but within that kids started writing on stuff to make their mark and say hey we are here just trying to get by..... and now all the gentrification over the past couple decades. It's hard to envision what's next.....BUT super dope vid man, thanks for continuing to do what you do! Showing and documenting....plus giving a bit of a glimpse of what it takes to do so..... HAPPY SUMMER YO

God damn how far your channel has come man.  Not many people out there on the ground documenting history like this. Not to mention your niche knowledge about different taggers and areas. Please keep up the hard work. Keep staying safe and know you are an important figure in NYC history and graff history.

I escape through your videos man. Out of this cabin and out of my head. Mad respect man. Thank you.

I'm from the West, so I don't know how common it is, but it's really cool to see tags from folks that were featured in Subway Art!

Junior 161 was wild to see that still up

Wow, insane to see a (somewhat) younger generation writer from my neck of the woods up in a NYC graf archaeology video

Crazy seeing fresh ONY tags out there. Early 90s. I always remember the blockbuster he had by the old Bronx  market facing the FDR.

incredible video. i’m from LA but NYC is the mecca. the nooks and crannies of old city culture like this is incredible: peace to all the old writers who paved the way 🙏🏻

Thank you for the shout out good sir. We really need to get together and do a Collab video hopefully in upper Manhattan sometime. I have quite a few other spots that I would like to go visit lined up in my mind but I'm waiting till the temperature drops a little bit.

Steve Rodriguez cameo @3:18 5boro 4 lyphe!!!

This initiative to search for old graffiti in Los Angeles is awesome. I’d really love to rediscover the 1980s gang graffiti style the Chicano style, with their murals, their gothic lettering, hand signs, and characters. It was amazing. I love watching archival footage of the old varrios from back then everything was completely covered in gang placas

11:37 - Back When The Markers Had The SUPER PERMANENT Smell.

Summertime in nyc. Can't beat it. Love these types of videos. You should do more of this history stuff!
