The thing is: Gomez has never STOPPED courting Morticia. That's the key

You know, I never really thought about it this way, but I tend to agree.  Gomez and Morticia just might be the most passionate and bonded couple in all of movie history.

The funny thing about their relationship is… Gomez articulates that he would die for her, that he would kill for her.  She never says anything like this… but the way she looks at him…. It’s clear she would do even more terrible things for him.  Scorched Earth types of things.

I definitely want someone who worships me the way Gomez does to Morticia

My husband and I say "cara mia" and "mon amour" to each other because of this.

I also love how they encourage each other to follow their dreams outside of domesticity.

"Sometimes I want to join the Dark Lord on his hellish crusade..."

"And so you shall my love!"

Having 3 kids, taking interest in each others hobbies, active sex lives, even when gomez lost his money she supported him.

So terrible that Raul Julia passed. Third part of The Addams Family would be absolutely the best with Him and with the old crew.
Rest In Peace🙏🏻❤️🕊️

Morticia loves Gomez but she knows that Gomez hopelessly worships her and that her slightest glance or word will enslave him... years into a marriage.

Without the dark stuff, they have a relationship more like my parents. As a teen, I really didn't appreciate being all too aware that my parents were still very much sexually active, but they very obviously still love each other after 45 years.

Coming from a family plagued by stupid fights and seeing so many unhealthy couple dynamics around me, all I want in a relationship is a partner who will communicate in a healthy matter and respect me. These two were my favourite couple growing up and still are. <3

I remember being in a class my Freshman year and my teacher asking everyone what kind of love story they wanted. Most said, "Romeo and Juliet" or "Jack and Rose". I said, "Gomez and Morticia" and got branded the weird Goth kid.

My 14 year old goth self loves this. Other girls wanted boy band members, I wanted Gomez. I still do and I'm in my thirties haha. They're loyal, passionate, respectful and have an utterly equal relationship. It's beautiful and their chemistry is amazing, it doesn't feel cringey. Where's my Gomez hiding? 🤣🥰

There's no need to explain how much they love each other you CAN SEE how much they love each other as well as their children

Gomez and morticia still cant keep their hands off each other...gomez worships the ground morticia walks on and morticia still looks at gomez as her knight in shining armor..nothing comes before their family...ever...they are truly the ideal couple

its sad that that raul julia died shortly after addams familly  values he was so good its hard  to play such an over the top character without being annoying

They are completely couple goals! The straights are okay and they prove it

No one will ever embody Gomez and Morticia as perfectly as Raul and Anjelica did. There have been wonderful performers who took on the roles before and since, but I don't believe anyone will ever truly capture them like those two did. And knowing that Anjelica had been approached to reprise the role of Morticia but said she'll never do it again because, in her own words, "Not without my Gomez." She and Raul truly cared for each other and it allowed them to bring something so visceral and honest to the roles. Gomez and Morticia are to couple goals as Raul and Anjelica are to casting choices. Absolute perfection.

These two are the definition of relationship goals. 😊🖤

Not lustful eyes but yes filled with a passionate desire for each other that's healthy and loving. Desire and lust are two different things.

This is true. Forget Romeo and Juliet. I want Morticia and Gomez. Lol! Love it!
