Mum had the chicks up early for their first breakfast and M24 arrived with the second one 20 minutes later. While brooding after the second meal, mum looked long and hard at the pile of chicks before her and decided it was time to take the wee deceased chick away from the nest. A closure of sorts. A bit later, breakfast 3 arrived after which we got some quality time watching the 11-, 10-, and 7-day old chicks showing some character and doing some adorable wingers. A busy and momentous morning.
