SILVERSEA SILVER SHADOW | PART 1
Come along with me and Mum as we start our Silversea adventure aboard Silver Shadow.
In this first vlog we get settled onboard, explore the ship, enjoy some amazing food and drink and start getting a feel for what makes Silversea so different from the bigger cruise lines.
Silver Shadow was built in 2000, is around 186 metres long and weighs 28,258 gross tons. She carries just 392 guests, with around 302 crew, so you can imagine the level of service and attention you get onboard.
She may be a smaller ship, but there’s plenty to enjoy, from the restaurants and lounges to the pool deck, the beautiful public areas and, of course, plenty of places to sit back with a glass of champagne and watch the world go by.
And talking of champagne, there was quite a lot of it.
As for the caviar, well, let’s just say Mum and I certainly made the most of the Silversea experience. 😂
We absolutely loved the relaxed atmosphere onboard. No rushing around, no huge crowds and no fighting for a sunbed, just good food, good service, beautiful surroundings and plenty of time to enjoy ourselves.
This is Part 1, so there’s lots more to come as we continue our journey, visit some incredible destinations and make the most of everything Silver Shadow has to offer.

My wife and i want to try Silversea as we are fans of the Royal Caribbean group and our preferred premium line currently is Celebrity as we just sailed Ascent back in March of this year on an 11 night Panama Canal and Southern Caribbean ABC Islands itinerary in a Aqua Sky Suite and the retreat experience.
We are taking our first luxury / Ultra luxury cruise on Explora Journeys with Explora III here in March of 2027 in a Cove Residence Suite COJ on deck 8 port side of the ship.
We are looking forward to this trip but definitely want to try Silversea especially after watching your video.
