If you still in Texas can you pin point some dirt road that I can find. Close to like McAllen or Harlingen tx that way I can so search

What an amazing trip! Plumes, Palm Wood, Eye Agates and Banders!! Just sitting there waiting for someone to appreciate them.

How cool hunting with your mom!   Don’t feel bad that she got the best.  Age and wisdom!   ❤️

Wow was that a great dirt road adventure! I've found some really nice agates on dirt roads in AZ and Oregon, its always a fun time.  Love the dark blue banded ones and that palm wood is insane!!! 💙

Only a true rockhound could make a statement like, "This one is worth the whole trip right there!" Yep, just getting in to a known mineral locality can be the goal of a whole trip.

Great finding. I too also rockhounding in my hometown. I live in south texas and hope you can find some agates where I live

You had me at blue agate, cool finds!

so glad I found y'all!!! I am compelled to say you sound just like Johnny Carson !!! 😊 I am an old rock hound ,can't indulge anymore so I really enjoy this content

I lost my Mama 2 years ago.
Bless you and your Mama!!!!!!.......

I live in South Texas. I love rock hunting.
My husband had a deer lease down Zapata area. He hunted deer while i enjoyed hunting rocks!

A friend and I went down to South Texas last weekend looking for the spots you picked up agate at.  By studying your videos we figured out they were probably shot somewhere south between Freer and Hebronville.  We checked out one windmill farm called Torrecillas Wind Energy, which matched your backgrounds.  Didn't find a whole lot, and ran out of time to check out the other two windmill farms nearby.  Luckily I'm friends with a rancher out in 3 Rivers and we bailed out and went there instead.  They had just had 4 inches of rain and we found spectacular heavily agatized petrified wood just sitting around that we had missed before.  Even found a couple of Rio Grande agate there, a nice surprise.  So our trip wasn't a total loss.  Thanks for the inspiration to go on an adventure!

That one brown “petrified wood” piece with crystals could be dinosaur bone. I have a bunch of pieces of bone from the north Sulphur river like that

I'm in central Texas, and am hoping you might be able to divulge if the areas you were rockhounding are accessible and available to the public.   I am always looking for new spots to rockhound, and this looks like a great spot to check out! great video!

Such an awesome variety of great agates, pet wood, and a couple nice jasper’s.

Great finds. The colors. The thought of the formation of these agates, etc.. would truly like going on an adventure such as this. Don't get out much. So, I guess I just got to watch others enjoy God's amazing handy work. Thanks for sharing.
Mom and son team. 😊

Love the blues 💙💙🫶🏽💙💙
