Finally! Someone that understands this song.
What most remasters get wrong:
1. Tempo is always slower.
2. They trade out the choir for trombones or some other instrument.
3. For this song particularly, they always take away from the percussion.

Well done!

"Activate three distress beacons. Rescue four children. Activate the warp portals. Locate the energy totem and defend it at all costs."

Thx for the great remix!

Damn, a remake that just sounds like an actual upgrade of the original. Still has the heart and soul of the OG too.

Such an under appreciated franchise. Miss you Turok. Miss you Son of Stone. Maybe one day you'll get true remakes..

How they hired the voice actor for Turok:

- What's your name again?
- I am Turok.
- Look I got a lot of people auditionning all the time,
what makes you think you'd be good at this?
- I am Turok.
- That's great, buuut, what do you do?
- What do I do? I am Turok.
- And?
- And they are many Jeffs in the world, Toms as well, but I...
am Turok.
- And?
- Are you Turok? No you are not Turok, neither is Scott Bale Turok,
Frank Jeffrey's not Turok.... but I?
- You..... are.. TUrok!
- That's right! :D
- Ok you're hired.
- Of course.

This is a brilliant remaster of the original. Your reverence for the original shines through. Only thing I'll say is I'm disappointed you ended it on the crescendo. Maybe you thought it would overstay its welcome with listeners after 5 minutes, but those who experienced the game and know what this song represents won't feel that way. This version is an absolute banger.

1:42 I've been a musician for over 30 years and the first time I heard Port of Adia on N64, I loved it so much and I still do... It was so full of heroism, determination and courage with a feeling of danger as well.. I just loved how they combined the two coolest parts of the song together... And hearing that crying child saying "Turok, help..." just made you want to fight even harder. My only gripe is that the choir doesn't sound powerful enough, it's too low in vocal range.
