第一條問題，每個香港朋友都至少問過我一次：點解我揀學廣東話，而唔學普通話？最簡單嘅答案係因為份工……但係真正嘅答案，其實唔係咁簡單。

仲有：一個鬼佬到底識唔識寫中文？廣東話係咪真係好難學？我嘅答案可能會令你有少少意想不到。

Every time I make a new Hong Kong friend, they ask me the same three questions. After five years of learning Cantonese, I've honestly lost count of how many times I've been asked - so today I'm answering all three, properly and honestly.

The big one every Hong Konger asks: why did I choose to learn Cantonese instead of Mandarin? The simple answer is "my job"… but that's not the real reason.

Plus: can a gweilo actually write Chinese? And is Cantonese really as hard as everyone says? My answers might surprise you.
