If I had a dollar for every band that did a retirement tour that didnt retire I could retire.

If any celeb who's super rich asks you for money it's a scam.

Ozzy's first retirement tour was in 1992, "No More Tours" and he went on touring for decades

"I know I ripped you off, but I moved past it."

wyatt might be on this list if we dont see godzilla soon...

TBF, building a studio in Finland without a sauna would have been weirder.

The worst scams is $100 tix and $50 t shirts.

Kiss is like "we only made it fake so that it would be more real"

You know who's really the worst? That asshole on YouTube who convinced me that he was building a life size Godzilla to invade Canada.

To be fair, Wintersun is a Finnish band and sauna is a tradition in Finland, they weren't going to build studio without one

Some honorable mentions:

- Dogma
- Metal Open Air Maranhão
- Ticketmaster owning most of the venues where the artist plays (not really a scam, more of a monopoly, but it should be talked anout it anyways)
- Venues charging up to 50% in merch sales from the artist
- That Iced Earth DVD about the Gettysburg batlle
- KISS offering the fans the chance of being a roadie for the band for the low low price of 800 dollars
- Finn McKenty

My favorite Metal SCAM is the fan package/meet n greet with laughable tiers like a selected merch item, a platform to watch the show from and ten seconds with the band starting at $2500- $5000 is a joke!!!

As someone with a Finnish wife. Giving Jari the benefit of the doubt with the sauna thing. They're a Finnish band, saunas are a HUGE deal in Finland. Every home has a sauna. There are more saunas than cars in Finland. But yeah, the studio scam part is still fucked.

There was a notorious strip club in my hometown where the girls had to pay to be on stage, but got to keep their tips. That violates multiple labor laws in my state & city. So they specifically went after girls who didn't know any better. The place got shut down and turned into a church lol

i cannot write any riffs or drum fills without my sauna

A a youngster in '82 I was supposed to go to The Who's NYC date on their farewell tour.  Couldn't go. Finally saw them 43 years later in Boston, on their farewell tour.

The whole Vinnie Vincent scam solo tape ...

“ bright futures as used car salesman”. 😂😂😂

Here in Brazil, we were ripped off by Metal Open Air Maranhão, a scam that harmed not only Brazilian metalheads but also several foreign and national bands that were going to perform, 95% of the bands that were supposed to perform backed out, and the festival's infrastructure was such in a shit  state that not even a smelly pig could enjoy, Unfortunately, the filmmakers did not receive the appropriate punishment for their crimes against Metal and consumer law.

To be fair, saunas in finland are super common, even apartments will have one
