I don't always listen to Meatloaf, but when I do, so do my neighbors.

"I didn't expect the song to take that turn"

Meatloaf "Hold my beer"

The Bat Out Hell album is phenomenal! There isn’t a single bad song on there. 👍🔥

The use of the baseball bases to signify Meat getting to the bases is just so brilliant

7:35 you never heard a song about having sex in the backseat of your car like this before😂

Actually it’s not a sample, legendary NY Yankees announcer Phil Rizzuto was asked to record this section but he didn’t know the context for how it would be used. Needless to say he was quite surprised when he saw and heard the final product. Lyrics by Jim Steinman and production by Todd Rundgren. Meat has a theatrical background so that’s what you’re seeing. Any other song from the album Bat Out Of Hell is a classic.

This song came out in 1976. It’s supposed to be them remembering their time in high school, thus the nostalgic 1950’s feel to the song.

He is a performer. Every concert was truly a rock opera!

I was 17 when this song came out. RIP Meatloaf

" And I would do anything for love, "  tears in my eyes when I hear this in his song.  ❤

Meatloaf was Jack Black's musical influence and it shows when you listen to Jack Black as part of Tenacious D with Kyle G.

It brings joy to this old man's heart seeing the younger generations enjoy the music a lot of us grew up listening to.  Thank you.

You know what’s really fun? When you’re in a bar, and this song comes on, and the women are on one side of the room singing the female parts, and the men are on the other side singing the men’s parts. So fun!!!

0:09 this song is like the mantra of Gen X

Meatloaf was in the movie, as well as, on the soundtrack of The Rocky Horror Picture Show

Ellen Foley sang this in the studio but the lady in the video is Karla DeVito.

50yrs and this song is still great.

Check out "You took the words right out of my mouth" "On a hot summer night would you offer your throat to the wolf with red 🌹"

I love that the lyric "It was long ago and far away" reappears in Bat Out of Hell Two, in the song "Objects in the Rearview Mirror May Appear Closer Than They Are". Steinman's lyrics and Meat Loaf's performances were amazing.

He’s very dramatic, but that’s why we love him! We lost him 2 years ago 💔😇🎶
