That woman should have emptied the whole can of pepper spray into his car after she got out. Leave him with a nice reminder everytime he had to drive somewhere.

People, if you own/use a firearm, Do. NOT. Fire it unless you intend to kill whatever you are pointing out at!! Those "warning shots" you so carelessly fire "into the air" HAVE to come down somewhere. If you cannot treat a gun with respect and not like it's a toy, just don't touch one!! There are no "accidental shootings". Only irresponsible people.

I absolutely cannot believe that the 911 operater hung up on that person. What a heartless POS. Needs to lose their job.

@Andromedany 3 years ago

The drowning story reminded me of Debra Steven's. The 911 operator told her to shut up while she was desperate and scared. And she ended up drowning.

For that man in the window story - I understand that 911 operators get prank calls but good lord that lady had no patience and she shouldn't be an operator if she's going to hang up on someone whose life is truly in danger!

The story of the woman breaking down along cornfields and dark country roads, for starters she knew her car wasn't up to it I mean if she really gave it some thought. I hear her reasoning about leaving her car but arrangements could have been made with the roommate. Okay so that's 20/20 hindsight however the thing that irks me is the 911 operator that didn't take her seriously. That should have been reported and that should have been addressed.

Anyone who claims that their friends are "just jealous" when they're pointing out a dangerous situation has the maturity of a 12 year old, I swear. She's lucky she got away. FYI, gel pepperspray exists so it can be used indoors and there isn't any wind blowback.

That one 911 operator should have a lawsuit filed against them/their agency. Secondly, that guy did not get off justice by being criminally insane. There is a huge misconception that people who are not fit to stand trial and go to the institution get off easy. That place is is scarier and more horrifying than prison. There was a a video somewhere on YouTube that does a good job explaining it.

If you’re stuck in a car that’s filling with water you can use the seat belt buckle to break a window.
This is possible in every make of vehicle.

Story 7. "She was the type of mom that'd call the police if I weren't home when I was supposed to be" Ummmmm that's what mothers do when their kid is missing. Call police. Worry. All normal parental reactions 🤦🏽‍♀️

The story with the children on the road is one of my biggest fears. The human body is a very complex thing.

@ReneeW-cc4db 3 years ago

Anytime you are traveling and see a car with hazards on or someone trying to flag you down, don't stop, if you are compelled to help people, just call for help and give the road side assistance their location. This is a common ruse and it is terrifying. Stay safe out there!

Taking an ailing old car out on a long trip in the winter?? Pretty poor judgement...

Story 5: Guy knowingly drives home, alone, in the dark during a storm and finds himself flooded and then blames law enforcement saying they "wouldn't" help him. No, they COULDN'T help because of the numerous similar calls they received and they were stretched thin. The only one to blame is the one in the driver's seat. I am glad it all worked out for him and he is safe but he needs to do some self-evaluation. If your job isn't first responder or similar emergency service and a storm is THAT bad, miss work. If you lose your job you can always find another. Can't say the same about your life.

@WakingDream9654 3 years ago

I wanna know if that 911 dispatcher lost her job! Ppl are going to be scared and screaming it's THEIR job to help the person on the line to calm down. Not hang up on them!! Smh.

@unclejunglist 3 years ago

If you are trapped in your car as the person in the flood was, then remove the head rest and use the metal spikes to smash the window. That's what they're there for.

Also never rely on anyone else to rescue you. You're your own rescuer.

@brettmorton2997 3 years ago

Okay, that cancer story gave me goosebumps.

@TheMetalstepp 3 years ago

The sheer volume of lack of personal protection baffles me. We're all so privileged that we can't even comprehend monstrous people exist. Learn how to defend yourself and your loved ones people

@netchish 3 years ago

so for anyone who may unfortunatly end up like the guy in story 5, with your vehichial being submerged and you cant find a way out. Something a lot of car models have is that those lil headrests on the seats? you can usually pull them all the way off and use the 2 metal prongs to break your windshield. Idk how effective it is but ive heard it before from different media and it may be good to know just in case!

@amemooress6291 3 years ago

Story 6 is actually the scariest story I've heard in a while. Legit seeing things and then not sure if it's because you're crazy or if you have a tumor etc in your brain.
