I loved this so much, really interesting to see different techniques, although I wish  we could've had a close up on the eyes. The last look was amazing on you!  Will now look up Alexis. Would love to see a video where you use these products in a more modern way.

I cannot tell how you beautiful this video was. Alexis Vogel was a lovely lovely woman. So kind and gentle. She would have been thrilled to see this.

The dvd lady is so intense. She seems all friendly and then super mad after every line 😂

I would love to see how Dolly Parton did her makeup in the 70s and 80s! She's got a very pretty bluey pinky eye look that I love and do not understand!

I tried to recreate Miss Vogel’s Pam Anderson makeup one morning before work. My eyes are very light blue and the dark makeup made them almost freakishly light. On the way into my office building, an older foreign woman began screaming things at me covering her eyes! One of my co-workers understood some of her words; she called me a blue-eyed devil and she didn’t want me to look at her and cast a spell. My co-workers loved the look. My manager did not. She told me to remove it, I refused. I went to my customer appointment, make up and all. At that appointment I signed the customer no one could sign. I called my boss to explain that I needed legal because the terms were beyond our usual terms; she was gobsmacked! I owe that contract and my big, fat bonus to Alexis Vogel!❤ Erin, you are so interesting, entertaining and beautiful. Thank you❤

My mother was paralyzed from the neck down, so I started doing her makeup when I was around 10-12. I was so excited when I convinced her to get us this kit around 2002-2003. I've done my face in a variation of the alexis cat eye look for my whole life!
edit: forgot a couple words lol

The younger woman narrating that dvd really did it with all her heart lol

Anyone who dealt with insomnia in the early 2000's knows that Alexis Vogel's infomercials were lit 🔥💄

Alexis was a dear friend of mine, I know she would have adored you so much. This video is a lovely tribute to Pam and Lexi, thank you xx

THIS is the kind of beauty YouTuber I needed years ago 💕

There is nothing more 90's than blending your makeup with nothing but a wedge sponge and a Qtip Lol! Took me back to my adolescence ❤

Alexis (Lexi to her friends) was a wonderful, kind person who I had the privilege of working with many years ago and becoming friends with. Before she passed, she only told her close circle that she had cancer, because she was afraid that it would harm her career and image in Hollywood.  How tragic is it that she would have ever had to worry about this?  But she truly left a legacy for many generations after and you can still see her work in many looks today. Thank you for honoring her.   You did a beautiful job.

The fact that after Alexis passed Pamela stop wearing makeup shows how much she trusted and respected her doing her makeup . Pamela was absolutely stunning with the makeup and hair .

Erin Parsons is going to be the next big makeup star, one day I hope she’ll open up her own brand!

i know this comment will get lost in the void, but miss erin, you have re-sparked my interest in makeup!! you're soo true to recreate looks, i love the vintage makeup videos as well. i just havent been in love with makeup for sucha  long time!

I bought Alexis’s makeup kit from her first makeup launch ages ago. She was definitely ahead of her time, when beauty blenders came out I was so pissed because people gave Alexis a hard time when she wet her sponge 🧽 to apply foundation sometimes or use a wet sponge to set powder.  Just so many memories when I see Alexis rip 🙏

I'm a 90s kid and still remember thinking my friend's mom, with her overdrawn lips, smokey eyes and messy updo was the hottest thing ever! Been trying to recreat that iconic 90s mouth since forever so tonight I'm just watching cartoons with my son while wearing a full 90s look;) thank you❤

So this woman is why I have no eyebrows, burnt my eyelid with maybelline black eye liner and started highlighting my hair? Thanks Alexis! 😂 It’s still a gorgeous look!

Alexis Vogel was such an incredible makeup artist. So sad she passed away so young from cancer. She was so gorgeous.

In 1999 I was a fashion student at FIDM. I would do all my friends makeup before we’d go out on the Sunset strip and they were all like why tf aren’t you a makeup artist? So in 2000, I moved back to Utah and majored in theater with an emphasis in stage makeup design. After that I went back to LA for an intensive media makeup artistry school where I started my book. I have had the pleasure of studying under 2 Emmy award winning makeup artists and several other prominent artists - even one who did makeup for porn and made bank lol, but no one ever lit a fire within me to become a kick ass makeup artist like Alexis. I mean I studied her technique like a savage because I wanted to look just like Pam. And I actually did. And so much of that was my make up application style. I became known for my playboy, playmate make up style and that’s what people and companies hired me to do for them. And honestly it’s what I still love doing most and it’s still my favorite style of make up to do because to me it is so classically beautiful. But maaaaan these techniques took me back! Those damn triangle sponges were everything! 😂 And yes I had the skinny brows too that never fully came back and I still do my lips that way too. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Thank you for this beautiful tribute to Alexis. She was such a beautiful soul inside and out and truly a talented artist that revolutionized the game. 🎨❤
