Slash has stayed cool. A lot of rockers get trapped in the style of their era, but he prevailed. He seems like a nice, soft spoken gentleman with a fun and diplomatic sense of humor. Sending Christmas cards and handling questions with grace.

For a man of his stature, he is so down to earth and genuine, ABSOLUTE LEGEND.

One of the coolest things I ever saw at a concert was during the Gunners’ tour in 1992: our show went off without a hitch on a tour that was plagued with lots of problems but when the band did Nov Rain: most of the song the spotlight was on Axl playing a concert grand piano. When they got to Slash’s big solo toward the end the spotlights were turned on the lid of the piano and Slash was on top, bent way back — thought he was gonna topple backwards — soloing away like mad. The dude always did have style!

One Halloween night i ran an errand when i saw a man dressed as Slash. I gushed 'oh my your my favorite guitarist ever'. He was,so pleased I knew his 'costume and was a bit surprised this was coming from a senior citizen.
