Im starting to miss the Peaks! I think there may be a trip on the cards sometime soon. I think the weather played kind for you mate and you made some good progress through the old haunts. Ive been on Stanage loads of times but never wandered over to the pole so thanks for taking us there.

OF COURSE it is Robin Hood's cave....How very dare you😂...When I worked for the Peak National Park around ten years ago I was because of my age only cleaning the parks tourists centres and sites and North Lees Campsite was one of the areas...I had a choice of where I would clean first and always made North Lees the final place for the day so I could walk over Stanage after I had finished...The place is fantastic and like many more places has a reputation of been dwelling places of Robin Hood...I love myths and legends and don't feel ashamed to say that maybe Robin Hood did live in that cave...I know it is all fantasy but don't you agree that it adds more imagination to our Beautiful Peak District....Cheers Les.❤🙂👍
