My boy just threw a shout-out to Adventure Tim, and I got transported back about seven years like it was nothing

Virgins watches movies and shows on streaming services.

Chads watches movies and shows on Blu-Ray and DVD.

Nickelodeon has done by far the best job of releasing their old content on DVD! I wish Disney Channel and Cartoon Network would do the same, I’d love to have DVDs of all the shows I watched when I was younger. I know streaming is the “future” or whatever, but I still prefer physical media since I actually own the content

The cover for Sponge For Hire still moves me

I feel it represents the better part of the relationship between SpongeBob and Mr. Krabs

@Kathrynerius 5 years ago

Jesus Christ that thumbnail.

Mr. Krabs on the right: Exactly the same man, bit thiccer over the years.

Spongebob on the right: A husk of a man, a soulless automaton who knows only two things. Grill, and reap.

God, I always hated those covers that just have the character's face in front of a generic background. They look so lazy and lifeless compared to the more traditional releases of those shows.

Lol nick referencing his title edits.thats ok with me.

I still prefer physical media over streaming services. People don't realize they can just watch a dvd on their consoles. Yeah you definitely don't need a dvd player anymore as long as you have a ps4, ps5, xbox one, or xbox series x.

Well that aged... Fantastically

"streaming services are a reliable way to watch hundreds of series without worrying about them leaving the platform"
That statement aged so poorly that it hurts.

NICKtendo in the previous DVD video: The MOD Nick DVD releases on Amazon suck and I wish Shout! Factory would handle these releases instead.

the original Rugrats DVDs were actually DVD-R discs that were made on-demand, and were much more low quality. Anything is better than the burn-on discs, especially since shows like Chalk Zone and Doug have only been released this way

It’s strange, albeit awfully convient, that Season 4 and 5 of SpongeBob were still released on complete 3-disc sets in regions 2 and 4. And I don’t think we ever had the infamous box controversy with The Simpsons sets down here, at least not by the time my family started collecting them in 2009. I’d always wanted a set of Phineas and Ferb boxsets, since Disney was notoriously much more restrictive in releasing their TV shows on DVD, but it’s all too convient to have the whole series (and hundreds of others) on any given streaming service. Still, they should still have more customised menus for each show and more extensive bonus features.

Paramount+ isn’t worth the money until they add the deleted scene from the first SpongeBob movie where Patrick vomits for 10 seconds.

I can’t believe official vanilla editions on DVDs are everywhere now, which is mostly because online videos on demand are currently showing off the full lengths of shows like Happy Days!

18:42 oof. That didn't age very well.

6:27 It took them awhile, but they finally did it!

I find it weird that after all these years, Nick or Paramount or anyone in charge with stock images don’t update the old stock look to the newer style… it’s literally redrawing the same thing in HD and I fear when the world ends, Squidward will look upon us smugly in all his 240p power
