From Fresh Almonds to Sun-Dried Goodness! 🌰☀️ | Traditional Kaghzi Badam Processing in Gilgit-Baltistan

After harvesting our desi and organic Kaghzi Badam from the almond trees, the next step begins! 🌰☀️

In this village life vlog from Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan, we show you how we traditionally process our freshly harvested soft-shell almonds. The next day, we remove their outer coverings and spread the fresh almonds under the hot summer sun to naturally dry.

This is a simple, traditional village method that has been part of rural life and seasonal food preparation for generations. Instead of using modern machines, we use the natural heat of the sun to help dry and preserve our fresh almonds. 🌞🌰

Come along and experience the real process of preparing Kaghzi Badam in a mountain village — from fresh harvest to peeling, sun drying, and traditional food preservation.
