Thanks for the bumper idea. My approach was to moved the whole thing inside the body. I drilled away the headlights from the body and attached the bumper to the chassis to be able to open the body without disconnecting the lights. It just required a bit of slightly bent aluminum to move the lights a bit more forward.
1st tip. Turn the bumper mounts upside down. 2nd tip. Drill your own shock holes and use the longest drive shafts and trim one I do believe. My deadbolt has a longer WB than my gladiator does. By about 10mm
I put the links that came in the box on my yellow jlu, original bottom links go on top, new longer links go on the bottom. Makes the jeep climb way better
nice mods for a platform that everyone has done it all already! there were a couple i never considered. if your going to remove the esc casing might as well coat your board with clear nail polish to waterproof it!
I flipped the front frame tie and put the body mount on highest hole for my Bronco, tires don't ever rub, better approach angle, and I have scale look still 👍 removed battery tray and just strapped battery between chassis, i also relocated shocks and added $15 brass wheel weights and diff covers this thing crawls great now!!
Nice vid, I would avoid soldering the motor as you mentioned due the fact the factory ones tend to burn out quick. Well mine did, went through 4 stock before I decided to upgrade to mofo motors.
I run c10 upper and lower rear links on the front of my deadbolt. The c10 comes with headlight buckets hidden behind the stickers so you can make headlights with yer l.e.d.'s 🤘y'all have a badass day🤘🥞🤘
You have to change the upper and lower links plus you must change driveshafts because it lenghtens the front wheelbase. You put the rear C10 upper and lower links and driveshaft in the front. Then you use the dead bolt rear upper and lower links with the drive shaft in the rear.
