It’s very rare to see a video that treats Carlton with the reverence he deserves. The love for reggae here is clearly genuine.

As a drum enthusiast, I've sat down at the kit many times and tried to play Bob Marley songs, only to leave in frustration a few minutes later. The music seems so simple, but Carlton's drumming is so intricate and nuanced. Truly brilliant.

A whole university needs to be dedicated to Carlton Barrett's style of play. When I listen to Bob, what captivates me most is the drum and bass. That is what really shapes and gives the groves its uniqueness. The 2 brothers were the main heartbeat to Bob's music.

Carlton’s brother Aston “Family Man” was by his side locked in on the bass on so many of those creative masterpieces

Carly's drumming is pure genius! The man could groove and dance on the kit. Thank you Drumeo.

Carlton Barrett is a legend and could be perhaps the most listened to drummer ever.
What a fantastic musician and talent he was.

Thank you for giving the brother the recognition he deserves

Carly changed the way I saw the drumset, particularly the snare and hihat. Up until then, I had never heard such finesse. He's so dynamic and powerful, yet subtle and relaxed.

Thank you so much for this. He doesn't get the recognition he deserves by most, and this paid respect to him and all that he did for our community.

That was an absolute brilliant documentary of the great field marshal Carlton Barrett. His work deserves more recognition and appreciation! Been listening to the Wailers for 45 years. Still appreciate the greatness. His drumming is important to the most incredible music ever ever recorded! Salute Carlton!

Carly is one of my pillars in drumming. As a deep lover and player of reggae music, Carly has touched my deepest soul with his innovation and creativity.

My absolute favorite music is reggae. And as a drummer who grew up on rock, I am completely obsessed with trying to lay down a groove as infectious as what Carlton did. This is the best video Drumeo has done imo.
