Hi everyone! What grade (out of 10) would you give this video?

"These are my boys"

It hits different, its his final line for the whole mario franchise. :(

"These are my boys." Charles' last line in an official Mario work, and honestly, a great one to go out on.

“These are my boys!”

That line has a different meaning now. Thank you Charles Martinet.

The fact they created an orchestral version of the Super star theme for this is just the cherry on top.

As embarassing as this sounds, I actually teared up at both the scene where Luigi was saved and the scene where Mario was saved from Bowser's blast. I don't know why, but the brotherly wholesomeness was overwhelming and I loved it. Fantastic movie!

Edit: Just watched the new film. It was really good too! Had me tearing up at a few more points. They really know what they are doing!

It’s crazy how bowser kept trying to fight back despite the futility of it. Dude kept getting rocked and would get back up seconds after

I always tear up and cry at 0:40 seeing Luigi protecting Mario, I will never understand how anyone thinks Mario hates him, they have such an amazing bond.

3:54 Charles last official voice lines in the Mario universe. That’s actually beautiful.

1:34 I never realized that DK was protecting Toad when Mario threw the Sledge Bro

Something I absolutely love is how the movie made Bowser much much MUCH more expressive than the games. His facial structure is kind of hard to morph into anything other than anger but this movie made his mouth and eyebrows 100 times more fluid.

1:51 as a gamer this part fills my soul with euphoria when they’re doing the some of the acrobatic jumping that from the game.

You know, I find it funny that while everyone's praising Mario and Luigi, no one is questioning why there's a princess, a little mushroom man, a talking ape, and a giant fire-breathing dragon-turtle thing in the middle of Brooklyn. Don't you think that that would have gotten some media attention?

I gotta admit the twist on the star power song was perfect

“Nothing can hurt us!… as long as we’re together..”

3:23 - Honestly, I'm shocked and upset that I didn't realise at the time that Martinet voiced the Dad even after hearing this.

What I love about this is it does a really good job showing just how stupidly powerful Bowser really is.  The star power is enough to instantly knock out any other enemy just by sorta running into them, but Bowser takes multiple direct hits from it, including a final stomp to the face which hits so hard that it sends massive shockwaves everywhere.  And he's pretty much just fine afterwards, albeit a bit stunned.

I remember seeing this in theaters. The second the music kicked in the audience went nuts. Fan service at its finest. I haven't genuinely enjoyed a movie from start to finish like this in a very long time. I still smile just about the entire way through.

I never get tired of seeing this scene. This whole movie was just WOW!!!

3:49 I love how the dog that fought with luigi earlier in the movie nods at him with approval like "that'll do luigi, that'll do."
