"Einstein, Doc's dog, was originally a chimp."
Wow, I'm surprised to be glad for Executive Meddling.

Back to the Future is one of my all time favorite movies. The cast was superb. I cannot imagine anyone else but Michael J. Fox as Marty McFly, Christopher Lloyd as Doc Brown and Thomas F. Wilson as Biff.

There isn't a better Marty McFly than Michael J. Fox

There's that word again, 'heavy.'  Why is everything so heavy in the future?  Is there a problem with earth's gravitational pull?

no one could have played Marty better than MJF.

Another fun fact:  Delorean is actually what spawned the Entrapment Clause in US Law!  Synopsis: During the 70's Oil embargo and gas prices tanked the economy, Delorean wasn't selling his cars and was near bankrupt; he needed roughly 300,000 to stay afloat.  Side note:  The late 70's early 80's, The DEA was cracking down on the influx of drugs coming in and thought the Delorean car was a joke - no way could it have been as successful in sales as it was reporting.  The DEA was certain Delorean had to have been dealing in drugs.  Knowing he needed 300,000 to save his company, they devised a sting.

They approached Delorean, as undercover, to pay him to literally drive the proverbial van back from Mexico for $300,000.  Delorean repeatedly said no.  This went on for several months and each time, Delorean said no.  Finally, on the brink of losing his company, he caved, and agreed to do it, knowing it would be a 1 time thing that could save his company.  DEA swooped in and arrested him.

At trial, the judge threw it out citing Entrapment; that although it was a crime, the DEA pressured, bullied, and enticed him to perform an illegal act which he normally wouldnt do (and in fact, was documented several times that he did say no).

So hence, the first usage of Entrapment as a defense in a criminal case in US.  Neat!

I thought "88" mph was chosen because they look like Infinity symbols.

just did a back to the future marathon. now i'm extremely sad because i wish there were more movies.

It's Jigawatts, because Doc said so!

Red, the bum on the California Raisins bench and Red Thomas, the man running for Mayor in 1955 are not the same person. Not only are they portrayed be different actors (George Flower plays the Bum. Hal Gausman plays the mayoral candidate), but Michael J. Fox ad-libbed the name Red while they filmed the 80s sequence. (Source: BTTF writer Bob Gale on the Back to the Future commentary track.)

With an ending like the one they had...just how could you NOT have a sequel,am I right??

Back to the Future is a classic!  It's so crazy no studio wanted to back it, but having an original story is always risky.

Back to the future is one my favorite movies of all times!

One of my favourite bits of trivia is that at the start of the movie it's called Twin Pines Shopping Centre but then Marty runs down a very small tree when he first travels to the past.  Then at the end of the movie when we are back in the future it's called Lone Pine Shopping Centre.  So cool!

I was 18 and just out of HS when my father bought a Delorean in late 81 iirc. Nothing but problems but a friend and I actually went to the BTTF in the D and other than a few glances, NOBODY freaked out. Eventually sold it and in 2007 bought one almost identical to my father's. Now EVERYWHERE I go I get swarmed. I bought the trilogy just to be able to be able to talk informed as I never watched 2-3. Amazing legs the movie has and is more popular than ever as is the car.

Im glad there will never be a reboot of back to the future. Who ever does it would just mess it up.

who else paused to read Tom Wilson's post card?

Woah all these facts are Heavy.

108: at the end of bttf3, clayton ravine became "eastwood ravine"

3:44 I never knew Fox was 22 while filming the movie...I thought he looked like 16 or 17
