Hello .. my name is Stephanie and I live in Houston Texas. Susannah Martin is my fifth great grandmother. I was blown away when you showed her gravesite and I teared up as well. Thank you for being there and sharing ❤️ I was born July 1962 and she was hanged July 1692 🥲

The original 'cancel culture' in America. Thank you for another great video.

The way he talks to and about Jessica melts my heart ❤

Salem MA historian.  Judge was named HATHorne.  Nathaniel Hawthorne added the W to his name to disassociate himself from his ancestor.

Hey, Sarah Wildes's 15th great grandson here.  The original site that was known as Salem, MA, is now called Danvers, MA.  They moved Salem to it's current location because they didn't want to be known for what they did to a bunch of innocent people and were afraid that their spirits would come back to haunt them if they stayed there.  So Salem was moved and its previous location would later be resettled as Danvers.  Note:  At no time was there anyone practicing witchcraft; just a bunch of jealous and angry jerks throwing accusations around and faking witchcraft to have innocent people murdered or made into outcasts.

If you ever get a chance to come to the uk, Scotland and England’s witch trials were beyond nuts, 19 were executed in Salem, over 1500 in the Scotland trials. Crazy.

I think the last quote on the floor is “ I can deny it to my dying day. I am no witch”

And “you’re the cutest thing since pumpkin spiced bread”…. Y’all are awesome.

I love that they paint the sidewalks to tell you where the sights are.

I lived near where the Pendle Witch trials took place. Very scary to think how with just one accusation you're dead.

I live 20 minutes from salem and my grandmother is friends with Lori Cabot and a psychic that works in salem. I also got the privilege to meet Lori Cabot when I was pregnant with my first daughter and she came up to me and she put her hand my belly and blessed my daughter and said "she will be a amazing child." No one knew at the time what I was having.

I have studied the witch trails for years. As a  historian, it's important to teach my girls about this time and place. I learned a lot myself because, of course, even as a historian, there's always something new to learn. Thank you for pointing out that there's no memorial for Mr. Giles Cory, who was pressed. It's important for all of  these innocent victims to the hysteria be acknowledged. God rest their souls. 😢

No witches were executed, it was innocent people.

Ugh this area looks sooo beautiful 😻♥️♥️

Fun fact, on an episode of Finding Your Roots, Jeff Daniels (the actor) discovered that his 8th great grandfather testified against Samuel Wardwell in the Salem Witch Trials, sending him to his death.

9:23 Borah! Thanks for keeping Salem spooky 🎃

Giles Corey’s story gave me the chills after you started playing the music lol. These stories are very interesting and I love it

Watching this it makes me realise just how young a country America is. One of our local pubs opened 1622 and is still running. Kings head in Chester. We just walk past it without a thought and buildings that are hundreds of years old. I really must record some of these places more in depth rather than quickly in passing. Even the roman amphitheatre and gardens we walk by without a thought although they are 1000 years old. Great video as always guys, nice to see you reporting on this and great to see the US preserving history rather than bulldozing it like we do too much.

My ancestor, Fiske, was a juror on Rebecca Nurses’ trial. He voted for her execution. He apologized years later, but the damage had been done.

If you guys are still in Salem go into Red's Sandwich shop and ask for my girlfriend Sharon and you can have a breakfast on us. We like your content.
