Most baffling decision ever - not including predators, helbrutes, forgefiends and defilers in this codex.

All emperor’s children share one weakness in common: not being able to go longer than 24 hours without fulfilling their crippling gambling addiction.

I’m still shocked by the utter lack of any anti-tank in the army. Coming from Thousand Sons, where along with our psychic powers, our Mutalith, and our Primarch, we get Predators, Forgefiends, Helbrutes, etc., EC just feels… oddly lacking.

The thing that bother me the most is the lack of noise marine support (no stratagems support range) or even dedicated detachment, they are the "poster boy" of the army almost every player in the hobby for some time know that emperor's children = noise marines.

I hope in future we get more units to play with, including more demon engines and some units like terminators get cheaper

I'm actually gonna be facing EC this weekend for the first time.... was given the advice of: "Treat them like faster moving, but squishier Custodes. Keep them at range, utilize terrain, move block with chaff (sorry Scouts, you're getting sacrificed again) and avoid melee as much as possible."

Released right after I finish painting Lucius and thus my army, ty Asupex!
I really hope next dataslate Flawless Blades get a buff that’s not a points decrease, personally I’d like a points increase and +1 attacks +1 dmg per model, but I’d be fine with any of those (preferably dmg so they can 1-shot more models)

I really hope next time we get predator tanks, Sunkillers and a unit that Eidolon can lead

Where’s my Sonic Dreadnaught GW!!!!

@superkeaton9912 1 year ago

Where's my SPEED, GW!? My Raptors, my Warp Talons, my Bikers!

@windowwatcher4044 1 year ago

I've found my land raider almost auto include, not as a transport, just because I need long ranged anti tank. It does feel incredibly bad spending 240 points to have all 4 las cannons shots miss but not having the ranged threat feels worse. Plus having a 2nd big tanky unit means fulgrim or my deamon prince can't be focused down as easily

@liveac3694 1 year ago

The lack of ranged units and anti-tank in general still bothers me (makes absolutely no sense lore or gameplaywise). Why did GW feel the need to remove CSM units that ALL other traitor legions can use?

Thanks! This is super helpful 😁

Very good review. My experience with this army matches what you’ve said for each unit here. EC either need big points drops or big stat boosts to all of their units other than the LE, Battleline, WDP and Rhinos.

Tyranids then Emp children in like what 2 days? Done well to cover bith my armies my boy

@Theblackpillreport 1 year ago

As an EC player i agree with your ratings pre points change and to be fair you did include that as a disclaimer. But very good analysis. Another great video

I love my EC, but the limited roster just feels bad. I accept that it's a "new army", but there is ni reason we don't have access to useful stuff from the chaos codex. Even what we can use, sorcerer/terminators/heldrake are very ehh.

Also the stuff from the codex. Detachments. The one where you pass the Slaneshvs favourite title is not playable. The one with the daemons is not as strong as the others, but we can't use daemons else where - so we don't use daemons...
As per datasheets, the noise marines are ok, but their range is awful and they don't have an ability, that can be "used" with lord kako but that's a very expensive combo for short range shooting and maybe missing a battle-shock test...

YEAH NEW VIDEO!!

We want a Perfect Sonic Dreadnought !

Auto 6 Enhancement on a Lord Exultant and 10 Tormentors is great. Automatic Lethal Hit on a Melta gun is really nice and has won me the game on multiple occasions.

It's also refreshing play that way because my God everything feels exactly the same in this army. It's literally just a matter of what's cheaper because they all do the same thing except for noise Marines
