The Gambino Dynasty: Four Hours of the Complete Tale of America's Largest Mafia Family- Documentary

Dan’s Docs

This is over four hours of original, in-depth Mafia documentaries exploring the rise, power, and downfall of the Gambino Crime Family—one of the most powerful criminal organizations in American history.

Spanning multiple eras, this collection covers the reign of Albert Anastasia, the consolidation of power under Carlo Gambino, and the modern legacy that culminated with John Gotti and Frank Cali. Drawing from documented cases, FBI investigations, and underworld accounts, these films separate Mafia myth from historical fact.

Across these documentaries, you’ll explore:

Albert Anastasia and the early enforcement era of Murder, Inc.

Carlo Gambino’s rise and long rule over the family

John Gotti’s violent ascent and public downfall

The murder of Frank Cali and the Gambino Family in the modern era

Kidnappings, internal power struggles, and Mafia justice

How law enforcement slowly dismantled America’s most famous crime family

Each segment in this compilation was originally researched and produced and is presented here as a continuous, long-form viewing experience for true-crime and organized-crime enthusiasts.

This is the best one yet. And I think I've seen them all many times. Great job.

Lepke Buchalter was the boss of murder Inc, the Dewey hit was a plan by Dutch Schultz, Anastasia just did the recon.

Another reason Paul Castellano was chosen to be Gambino’s successor was bc, Castellano was promoted to Acting Boss in 1967 and stayed on until Gambino’s death in 1976. The admin was really-Boss: Don Carlo Gambino, Acting Boss/Co-U/B: Paul Castellano, Street Boss/Co-U/B: Neil Dellacroce, Acting U/B/Capo: James “Jimmy Brown” Failla, Former U/B: Joe Biondo-(demoted in 1965), Consigliere: Joe “Staten Island Joe” Riccobono, Acting Consigliere: Joe N. Gallo-(became Official Consigliere in 1967), Capo: Paolo Gambino, Carmine “The Doctor” Lombardozzi, Ettore Zapi, Joe Traina Sr., Tommy/Joe Gambino, John, Joe, Rosario (Sal) Gambino-(The Cherry Hill Gambino’s), Salvatore Inzerillo.

Gotti was too flashy, he should have been like Carlos Gambino.
You did a great job on making this video.

Accardo was a great boss

Tony Accardo was the best all time. He held power from 1943 to 1992. Sure, he stepped aside and few times, but he still had veto power all them years.

0:12 can someone help and identify these 3? Young Paul Castellano in the middle. To his left isn’t Carlo is it? Who’s the other guy?

Gambino, one of the first to get into labor racketeering? The mob had been infiltrating unions since the late 19th century.

I know someone commented in another video the g is silent in consigliere but in most mob movies I've seen some of which had mafia member consultants......I remember hearing the g.......I wanna say I remember it being shortened to consig......so idk what that guy was talking about.....maybe the proper Italian pronunciation of the word maybe. But often times ur not referring to native Italian speakers.
