We've all heard the tricks for saving a shaken-up can of soda: tap the top, tap the sides, tap the bottom, let it sit, open it slowly... but do any of them actually work?
Today, I'm putting those tricks to the test.
I've got a six-pack of Coca-Cola, and every can is getting a good, consistent shake before I try a different method to stop the dreaded soda explosion. Then we'll see which technique actually saves the most Coke—and which ones are nothing more than carbonated folklore.
I'll be measuring how much soda each method actually loses, comparing the results, and, naturally, seeing which method produces the biggest mess.
I'm the Soda Sommelier, a gentleman of ample girth and exceptionally smooth brain, and today we're conducting extremely serious soda science.
Which method do you think will win?
