I've heard (so take this with a grain of salt, hahah) that the difference between western and Japanese apple pie tends to be the amount of spice used; western pies use a blend of warm spices (ginger, allspice, nutmeg, and so on) with a heavy dose of cinnamon, while Japanese pies are more likely to cut the spices and put the focus on the flavor of the apples used instead.

I like how you always eat half of the dessert and probably gives the rest to your wife😂❤

Those little bears are the cutest sweets I've ever seen 🐻

here in the U.S. warm apple pie paired or topped with vanilla ice cream is pretty popular and i believe is called apple pie a la mode.

All the sweets look delicious, but my favorite part was using french fries as a palate cleanser.

In America, we could never have a place like this! The adults and the kids would rob it blind and vandalize it 😢

First of all, i still can't get over those unmanned stores, lol. Second, I'd love to try that cheesecake with the different cheeses! Lucky duck!

It is common to eat apple pie with ice cream in the United States. There are also regions of the U.S. that eat hot apple pie with a slice of cheese, usually cheddar cheese. I do not think anyone eats apple pie with both though.

I could eat those, but I admit I didn't grow up loving Japanese desserts which are lighter on sugar and many have anko which I HATE. The only thing I would eat was green tea ice cream. Even growing up in an area with a lot of Japanese, we didn't have a Japanese bakery, and my family mostly made American treats. Japanese pastries are really evolving.

Cake in a can is the greatest contribution to humanity ever devised. Arigatou Gosaimasu, Nihon. 🤗

Japan must have a low crime rate to even think of making an unmaned shop,
Nice and peaceful 😊

All of these sweets looks like delicious. In Brazil we also roll cakes, but they are filled with guava paste or dulce de leche. Apple pie with vanilla ice cream is also very popular in Brazil.
