We want a kick smash tutorial by Stan!

Loved being a part of this! Ewan taking the vids (and grips) to the next level 📈

My bahada at 11:54 was not going out ☝️🤓

Them kick smashes from stan were unreal. Literally turning defence into attack in an instant. Your lobs have to be literally perfect when you’re up against that.

Nice guys on the field but specially wanted to name Louis as he never complaints about his partner, being very humble and positive great guy to play with as it seems. Keep going and play on as well with Stan and Steven great lads!

You asked for a longer vid with Louie and for Stan to be back. So here is both. Enjoy! 🍿

3:14 the kick on that... outrageous

Great video! Thanks for having me Ewan! Grips were amazing could not complain!

You did Stan dirty!! 🤣

Amazing seeing how much the level of all of you has improved over the last year

Next stop: Premier Padel
P.S. Stan is a gem

7:24 - out (:

Great match. I can only dream of playing at this level. Must feel so good

Ive watched a lot of videos from you playing, IMO one thing I noticed you do is you don't go all in for the winner on easy balls. Ex: 5:43 you could have pressured Stan with a more agressive shot, but you controlled it and they turned it to a point; 6:38 kinda the same, a very slow and high ball midcourt, you could have smashed or at least put more slice on it at the middle; 7:40, very easy ball for you, you should have nailed it hard, but you clearly held back; 8:10, very slow ball on your backhand, you could´ve returned a harder ball for them to catch. I can identify with your style of playing, since I also try to maintain consistency and the smash/agressive volley is not my best shot, so my gameplan is to build up the point, pressuring the opponent until an easy ball comes. Sometimes I would also not go all in on those easy balls, afraid to smash or go for a more agressive volley. And I notice I would lose points that I should not, because I didnt take the chance.

So I changed my mindset to identify these easy balls, and go all in on those opportunities, even if I missed. After some weeks missing some, I started uping my percentage on those smashes/winners on easy balls, and that got me to a whole other level at padel.

When you start doing that, you are definetely gonna up your game a lot, since youre very good defensively and on some specific shots like the bajada. Louis has kinda reached that sweetspot, you can see he plays very similarly to you, but when an easy ball comes he holds nothing back and kills the point. I feel like you play against a lot of high level players, and if you don´t start going for it on those easy balls it becomes very difficult to win against them, cause they wont forgive when you give an opening.

Good game though!

Hey Ewan, love your comment about not getting annoyed when you are not playing your very best. Staying calm helps us return to peak performance. As Federer, says “it’s just a point”😊 Manish

Once Stan matures a bit more regarding rushing shots, he can def be a top player... great play guys

That pop-out at 6:30 was God-tier

10:30 as you mentioned, playing slower helped you. Eventhough you feel playing in a high rhythm work and you feel good with that way of playing, I believe it's essential to keep changing the rythm in your game to disguise your intention with shots where you can surprise your opponents. For example in the video I didn't see any "fake smash or soft bajadas to their feet or to the fence, chiquitas off the glass... to surprise them with the next shot by the net" ps: great match and loved the intro showing London, Cheers for the editor!

Great video. Really exciting to watch. Stan's smash is superb as we saw here,  but his defence is SO good too.
