Mine doesn't have a deck on it so the steering is light anyhow. I use it as a tow mule and drag around a cart to do yard work. I was actually thinking of putting a weight up front to keep the front tires planted a bit better for steering.

You have to be very careful when turning without moving,that little plastic gear behind the steering wheel will tear up easily.I know been there done that 😂😂😂❤good video

About an hour of work, and I can tell a difference. For me, at this point it was worth it. The dust covers were the biggest hassle. Without heating they would have never come off. Hope they will make a difference for a few seasons.

This worked great! I added these needle roller bearings and combined it with a steering wheel knob. Steering is much easier and I really notice a significant difference.

I added the bearings to my Husqvarna TS-348D garden tractor. The steering effort was reduced from a real struggle to being able to steer with 2 fingers. Thanks for the info! This will help my old arms and shoulders. The dust caps are now loose and I will have to find a way to hold them on.

Great video and I purchased the kit. Haven't installed it yet but I think that I will drill some 1/8" holes in the top washer and chamfer the holes smooth so that the grease can get to the new bearings. Thank You

Great video. I think just periodically cleaning and regreasing will do just as good. Exposed bearings on something like this doesn't sound like it would last.

Next??? Wheel bearing upgrade?. Replace the sleeve bushing with bearings.

My beautiful Orange mower now has real power steering, hydraulic deck engagement, suspension seat AND real rear suspension, even has a liquid cooled engine now of course with a hydrostatic tranny. Thats because I bought a Kubota 1860G

After watching I was keen to adopt this mod' on my Kubota T1670 but on inspection it's all a solid construction and cap welded at the steering axle point so unable to disassemble. It's pretty light however once greased up.

You can also replace the wheel bushings with a bearing kit. Sorry but I don't have the P/N for the kit. Not expensive at all ! Thanks for a GREAT video !!
