Ouch the deeper you dig the more Mr. Ed Ashby and Ranch Fairy research is involved in this more than we want to acknowledge

I dont understand why people still debate this. Its been proven with many animals and physics

As a 65 year old hunter in Florida hunting large feral hogs. Single bevel is king. I have shot everything except the Beast broadheads.  But single bevel blows thru the large hogs shield. No other animal in the USA has one.

Ed speaks to arrow flight in the ranch fairy video dropped 9/21/26. They tested single vs double bevel flight without fletching. They both sucked but the single bevel did better.

Either way I think it’s WAY more important that which ever you chose that it is as sharp as you can get it and that your arrow is tuned 100%. My guess is 99% of hunters couldn’t shoot the difference either way.

Single bevel is always going to win. If you hit them in the soft part they both work but if you hit anything hard the single bevel is the one you want.

Coming from a butchering and slaughtering back ground. The double bevel is way nicer edge to cut and maintain on a knife.  ect. Becasue each side is supporting the other.. single bevels will roll to the bevel side always.. but they all work. If you shoot enough animals with them.. for me it comes down to which 1 i can re sharpen again and again.. in Australia we hunt 365 days. So a head that can be re sharpened is the winner for us. Always personal preference tho.. go off from what you have learnt. Not what some1 else has told you works for them.. each to their own with selection. Test it. If it works it works.. or sometimes it will work but then that 1 time it whont work. Eliminate what has let you down in the past. That goes for all your gear. Not just broadheads.

"Designed " what?

Here is a novel idea. Stop hitting leg bones. If you do hit one, stop and assess what you did wrong and move forward. Every other comment on the heavy arrow clown nonsense posts are "I've killed thousands of deer. Then one day I hit a leg bone. Now I shoot heavy arrows."
Slow arrows are less accurate. Heavy arrows are less accurate. Momentum is important. BUT energy tells you the work to be done. Build the arrow to hold up. Shoot it fast. Make sure you have enough energy to do the work your broadhead will be doing on the way through. The biggest hole with the most blade cuts wins.
Multiple heart chambers destroyed, BP hits zero it's seconds to pass out. Puncture the sack around the lungs and destroy lung tissue, it's over.

I appreciate the content, but that’s not how edge geometry or metallurgy works…

This guy is so full of shit
