Linux - no gaming
Gaben - let me reintroduce myself.

I'm not using Linux because I'm an expert, but because I friking love it.

Another edit: Thanks for all the likes and comments, I never expected a comment to get that popular.

I started using computers in the military in about 1984. I remember writing batch files and putting them on the boot up menu of MS DOS to present a menu of the most common programs I used, and having the operating system on a floppy disk, used on a two-floppy machine without a hard drive. In my personal life, I remember writing a rather complex BASIC program on a Radio Shack color computer, and then realizing I could not save it (you had to turn the computer off to install the floppy drive). I had to go out and by a cable to copy the program to my cassette recorder to save my hours of work.

Linux: Sorry, its hard for games to run because they're incompatible.
Steam Proton: Allow me to introduce myself.

You should have said that Android is actually a Linux distribution and iOS comes from BSD.

Linux is technically a kernel, not a full operating system, but great video!

Chrome os is based on gentoo-linux, android use the linux kernel (so these 2 are a sort of linux distro), macos use the freebsd kernel side by side the mach kernel

6:25 good one

1:33 Mac OS wasn’t introduced in 2000, it was introduced on 1984 as system 1 for the original Macintosh and the original Windows was a copy of it. However a similar os for the apple Lisa was released in 1983, which served as a foundation for MacOS

Classic Mac OS, the predecessor to MacOS X was actually from 1984, a year before Windows's launch. By the way, the first GUI operating system according to google was XEROX Alto (1973)

Linux is actually very user friendly depending on the distro youre using. Some distros have a destop gui built in(desktop environment) and the terminal isnt too hard to use

About linux gaming is not very true, but true. Many Valve games ported to Linux after releasing of Windows 8, SteamOS is linux-based OS, also Steam for linux include proton - specific extended version of Wine (Windows not-emulator for Linux), which allow to play (in ~95% cases) windows games on Linux. Many games nowadays cross-platform and have Win, Mac and Linux support.
Commands is easy to remember, it's not like chinese language or something. Also installing OS, updating software and install new software is nowadays not much difficult whan same actions on Windows.
One of major downside of Linux -- rooted not to Linux, but to some software companies, that not make linux version of very important apps, like Adobe programs, SolidWorks, Corel Draw etc. Also sometimes Linux have problems with video drivers, but nowadays this problem is less notable.
Sorry for bad english, I proud of myself that I use Google Translate 0 times for this comment)

Linux will always be my preference. In the early days it was tough. I bought a copy of Linux for dummies and Linux mandrake 7.2. I got it running on a 500mhz compaq laptop. I had to buy a hardware modem, I picked up a hayes. Man it was so fun back then.

1:40 MacOs was first released on the Macintosh in 1984 not in 2001... thats Mac OSX  which is basically the upgraded version  unix based

Mac os wasn't introduced in 2001, version 10 was released in 2001.

2:54 "You need a PC (optional)

Forgot to mention OS/2, quite popular during the early 90's

6:54 You can jailbreak your iphone or install ipa files via sideloading
