Felling 2 Rain Trees: Riverside Reverse Pull & Backyard House Clearance | Stihl MS 881 & Echo CS 7310SX

Welcome back to the Is_Woko channel.

In this video, we document the felling of 2 large rain trees (trembesi), applying two distinct rigging and felling strategies to protect nearby hazards. To execute this operation efficiently, our crew deployed two powerhouse chainsaws: the heavy-duty Stihl MS 881 and the versatile Echo CS 7310SX.

Here is the operational breakdown of both trees:

1. The First Tree (Riverside Bank - Canopy Pruning for Reverse Pull):
The first tree stood directly along a riverbank with a natural lean toward the water. To prevent the massive timber from falling into the riverbed and damaging the embankment, it had to be felled in the opposite direction back toward safe ground. Our climber systematically stripped the upper canopy using the Echo CS 7310SX. Eliminating top-heavy weight and leverage was vital to ensure the tension pull lines could overcome the lean and direct the trunk safely backward.

2. The Second Tree (Backyard Homestead - Direct Pull Away from House):
The second tree was positioned in the backyard close to a residential house. After evaluating the canopy balance and clear ground corridors, our crew determined that pre-felling pruning was not necessary. By rigging directional pull lines, we guided the tree safely away from the house structure, making a clean and rapid directional drop with the Stihl MS 881.

Watch the raw footage of our crew's rigging calculations, teamwork, and chainsaw execution from start to finish. Thank you for watching and supporting our channel!

The trees we fell are legally purchased from local farmers for industrial use and are not sourced from protected forests. These premium logs are bound for Jepara, Central Java, where they will be transformed into luxury solid wood furniture, massive live-edge tables, and world-renowned intricate carvings.
