Miss Chinchilla sang exactly the notes she was meant to sing. They’re unsettling on purpose.

The song was suppose to be haunting, it's about his friend who jumped off The Menai Bridge late one night when Ren was a younger man. Ren was the first to reach the bridge after a mutual friend alerted him to something going on. Ren was just a few moments too late to an empty bridge where his best friend had been. They never recovered the body. Listen again and you will get a different feel from it. Thanks for giving it an open minded listen.

They are not singing in octaves, but in thirds and diminished fourths, which gives it this erie and haunting vibe. And they are both doing a very good job, especially as this is a live performance. I think the musical expression is totally on point.

❤ Great to see you enjoying this beautiful song!

Dissonance is a tool used in music to create tension. Chinchillas notes were purposefully placed to create that tension.

Great reaction. We know you loved it, you just had to have a wee complain in the middle. 😂 Big up from the UK. 💯

Eugene, Ren did write this song as well as all of them unless it's a retake. As far as the vocals go, and I say this as a singer, they're not off key, it's a stylized choice. You may not like the sound or style and that's fine. I've watched a lot of reactions to this, particularly from singers & vocal coaches, etc. I haven't heard vocal criticism on that tune or Chalk Outlines. Both are done live, one shot. These are not reactors who pander. I know one of those when I see one. No hate here. I still watch your Ren Dotta reaction every once in a while, cracks me up.

It’s don’t matter what your criticisms-all I ever hear is “Michelle show can clean that shit up” and like Pokémon but with dreads.

You like to jump to conclusions early...

Listen to the live version of Chalk Outlines, its a much better example of their vocal range.

They are at the very spot where his friend jumped off the bridge. Thats why there's so much emotions into it.

It's a bit sad, Michelle, for a music reactor, that you don't understand some of the most basic fundamentals of music as a performance art. You should get out more, man! Ren and Chinchilla both sang every note EXACTLY as they meant to, to convey the meaning and emotion of the song.
