Anyone who's ever dreaded life itself knows too well the feeling of staying up all night to avoid starting the next day

Omori haș had a pretty massive impact on my life and I'm genuinely in love with every aspect of the game and its story. Thanks for uploading this <3

god, i remember reading so much omori fanfics in order to cope with the depression that omori gave me lmao

@knightwolf4242 5 months ago

Wow, just realized that this game is five years old now. In July it'll be five years since my brother and I first played it together. At the time my mom was sick, we didn't know it at the time, but she was dying. It was a very emotional time in general for us and we were both depressed. But this game was a little bright spot amongst everything else. He and I would do silly voices for the characters and just have so much fun with it. I cried myself to sleep the night we finished it. Five years later, and I'm about to move out of my stepdads house and live on my own.... I'd like my brother to come over and play it with me again in July. I think that would be nice.

I'm so scared of the future...and unfortunately going to sleep only makes it draw closer. Every night I spend in my dreams is a brief escape from the life I don't want to be living.

I dream of impossible technology, creatures beyond my understanding, reconciling with loved ones from my past that I'll never see again. Why am I still a child in all these dreams? Why am I so afraid of living my reality?

hi. this is me. i drank the mystery potion. in my deepest thoughts, i’m a girl. i was thinking of naming myself Mari. instead, i’ve chosen December. you can see how much i’ve hurt myself, right? not physically, of course. i’m just in a constant state of emotional death. i only get better when i’m seriously sick and can’t do the things i normally can. i was meant to be fragile. instead, i’ve got this horrible body with perfect male genes that i do not care for. i could be a star athlete in volleyball or soccer if i really wanted. instead, i want to be a girl. i might become a live musician. i don’t want to do it online because i don’t want to worry about ai. nevertheless, i am here, celebrating the art i know to be real. hi, this is me.

OF COURSE I DECIDE TO LOOK AT MY SCREEN THE SECOND THIS HAPPENS.

OMORI is so peak fr. It will always hold a special place in my heart.

Also, as I write this comment, I am actually the only person awake in my house (or even my neighborhood). It’s so quiet, and especially peaceful. I can hear the breeze gently rustling the leaves outside, and the occasional car passing by on the street nearby. It’s beautiful, really, and moments like these are always taken for granted.

I wish my sleep schedule was normal. I wish I could sleep without having to take melatonin and anxiety meds. I wish I didn't have panic attacks at night cause I can't sleep. I wish I didn't have to run into my mom's room crying like a little kid who just had a nightmare. I wish I could just not feel a sense of impending doom at every waking moment. I wish I was normal.

This is probably gonna sound crazy but I have a theory that Deltarune is just a parallel universe of Omori’s story and vice versa. Kris is Sunny, the Soul is Omori, Susie is Aubrey, Noelle is Basil, Lancer is Kel, Asriel/Ralsei is Hero, Dess is Mari and “Friend” is Something. The parallels between them once you actually look are endless, right down to Kris and Sunny both playing the piano and both wielding a knife as their main weapon. Escapism is even the main theme of both stories, and the “Merry CD” you can find in Omori sounds incredibly similar to Gingerbread House from Deltarune.
