"Photon torpedo! The Federation is shooting at us again!"
"The frequency is too high.  The torpedo is Romulan."

Thank you for making this.  My grandfather was a big fan of Star Trek and The Hunt for Red October.  It's because of him and those movies that I became such a fan of science fiction and joined the US Navy.   He sadly passed away over five years ago, but as soon as I saw this, it immediately reminded me on him.

If he was still around, I think he would have enjoyed what you made.  Keep up the good work and I look forward to more of these.

“Byron… some things in here don’t react too well to phaser blasts…”

The XO's last words, "I would have liked to have seen Riza."

Adm. Cartwright: Those torpedoes hit their target, and I was never here.

I always adore when two of my favorite things come together in a true work of art.

"My Daddy and I built a stasis shelter because some fool parked a dozen plasma launchers 90 light years outside of Sol. This thing could park a couple hundred just outside the atmosphere and no one would know anything about it until it was all over."

The moment you said "The Big D", my brain went "Come on, Big D, fly!"

When we got to that moment, I chuckled at the thought of the Romulan crew watching the cloud surface. "The Captain scared them out of the clouds!"

I love how this adaption worked out.

'You lost... Another warbird?'

"Mister, your tactical display showed your torpedoes make positive impact on the Romulan vessel and I was not here."

You get an upvote from me for using a Chandley Class. One of my favorite FASA ships.

This is so cool! I came up with a Hunt for Red October-style Star Trek story myself years ago, set in a similar point in the timeline. The Romulan ship was the Garuda-class supercruiser from the 1997 Starfleet Academy PC game, and I also used the idea of it being the first Romulan vessel with a singularity drive, the idea being that while Federation sensors could detect the power signature of a conventional warp drive through the cloak, the singularity drive neutralized that advantage. The "Red Route One" scene where the Romulan ship has to evade a torpedo from a pursuit Stormbird took place near a Jovian planet, and the final battle scene took place in a Wolf-Rayet system, where the intense radiation would foul sensors and make it almost impossible for future expeditions to determine what really happened.

"CAPTAIN TOM SELLEK" made me laugh so much I had to pause the vid.  Too funny!

The name of the Alfa class submarine was the Konavlov not Leaonav

Admiral: "The Soyuz kept requesting permission to fire.  If anyone messes up here we'll be in the biggest space battle since Orion."

“Mr. Ambassador, you have nearly a hundred starships operating in The Triangle right now. Your scout ships have dropped enough sensor buoys so that a man could walk from Chak to Bakers World to Laften without getting his feet cold. Now, shall we dispense with the bull?”

(Holy moly that was so good! Fantastic channel!)

"Some things in here don't react well to disruptors!"

In the same vein, a video on a Star Trek 'verse version of the Hunt for the Bismark would likewise be both quite interesting and surprisingly lore friendly.

I'd watch it for Captain Selleck alone!
