I think when Kansai people are angry they're really funny. しばくespecially is a very funny word to me

Kansai people are natural entertainers that when they're mad they say you are not interesting..😂😂

Me, a Polish dude, hearing Okayu say that "Omonainen" is scary:

...
How cute.

It's cute that Vivi thinks she can be scary.

Me learning there's more dialect than Kansai in Japan when watching anime Flying Witch. The dad use Tsugaru dialect.
Okayu's Aomori dialect have softer tone which make it feels relaxing somehow.

I don't know how to feel about the fact that I was listening to the clip while doing things on another page, and the only reason I had to come back and read subtitles was that it confused me that Vivi couldn't understand what Okayu said. But even then, I struggle when people use regular Japanese

Just realized that when vivi say "Homma", it's a short for "Honto maji", which is a more stress version of honto and maji (both of the words means "really")

Consider that Osaka (in Kansai) is quite the "humor heart" of Japan... so yeah, that someone that is always light hearted and funny would get serious and spurts you out "cut it out, not funny" with an disgusted expression.... sssss.

At first, when I first learned about Japanese dialects, I saw them as a problem; I only wanted to understand standard Japanese, or "Tokyo Japanese." Now that I'm older, I find standard Japanese boring and the dialects charming and cute
