I was stationed in Condado shortly after hurricane Maria.
It wasn’t fully functional but it was still full of life and beautiful people who created some beautiful memories.
We walked to Waikiki Restaurant for lunch or dinner regularly 3 or 4 times a week.
We worked all around the island!
Loved hiking El Yunque and dove off some cliffs and climbed some beautiful falls!
I’m going back soon!!!

This sends me back from when I used to walk from Isla Verde (Carolina) to Condado (San Juan) so many tourist would think they’re in San Juan when they would be staying in Isla Verde 😂😂😂

I love it there, that specific area.
I paddled the whole perimeter of the lagoon and under that bridge.
The market place section is a sweet shopping center.  Eat at Fogo de Chao.
That first white building on the left is Condado Plaza, home for a good while.
Ashford Ave. is the main strip.
My two favorite restaurants on Ashford are Waiters Restaurant and Di Zuccharo Italian Restaurant!
Explore Ashford Ave., day and night, highly recommended!

I love el Condado. I stayed at the Comfort Inn back in 2014 for only $75 a night. Its just around the corner from the main street. Now it's gone up a lot. Shop around and you'll find nice little hotels for under $120 within walking distance from el Condado. There's a small bar around the corner from the Comfort Inn with a couple of pool tables. I played pool n drank tequila with my daughter n nephew, we had such a great time. Further down There's a beautiful plaza, its at 23:03 in this video. In back of it is the ocean and a walkway to the beach that he was in.. We hit la Concha and the Marriot pools. We just walk right in and no-one from the hotel staff said nothing. We had such a nice time been around  those beautiful hotels. Late in the day we went to Old San Juan and visited El Morro and walked around. Then had dinner at one of the many restaurants. Just beautiful and relaxing. If you plan on grocery shopping I highly recommend you stop by SuperMax. Its a big supermarket about a mile away from El Condado. They have a wine cellar and a liquor store inside! They serve hot sandwiches and all kinds of food for a low-price. Not evey time you eat you want to spend $25 n up for a plate of food. Eating at SuperMax can save you a lot of money. I highly recommend staying at El Caribe Hilton, just great hotel with big pools with bars in the middle of each one. La Concha and Marriot hotels are nice too, all for $200 and up per night, but if you book waaaay in advance you can get good deals. Round trip flights are mad cheap now. You can get a round trip ticket for under $200!!! B4 the pandemic the cheapest one way ticket was $275 for a midnight flight on a Friday and $330 coming back on a Sunday afternoon. I can't wait to go back, hopefully next summer with Covid behind us. Here is the link to SuperMax.

Thanks  for the tour. We have booked three nights in the Hilton before our cruise at the start of February. Coming from the UK and first time to PR. Learnt a lot about what's nearby and now need to check out things to do over the three days.

So I decide to watch a few videos to hype myself up for my solo trip to PR in 3 days and pick this one and I’m staying right in that area! This will help me get around. Definitely makes me feel less anxious. Thank you!
