POV: You Are an American Soldier in WW2

ONE RULE

ONE RULE

You are nineteen. The ramp drops in thirty seconds, and the water in front of
it is already moving the wrong way. This is one man's war, from the feed store
in Iowa to a beach in Normandy to a kitchen table fifty years later, told
minute by minute from inside the helmet.

You do not watch this story. You are in it.

Sergeant Hoyt has one rule and he only says it once.
Pauly Fiore has a harmonica he never learned to play.
Ruth wrote four words on the back of a photograph, and it takes you fifty years
to understand them.

Which war should we tell next? Put it in the comments. The most requested one
becomes the next story.
