This was an amazing stream guys, finally caught one live after a long time!! Really hope to catch one of Dom's Finest Fridays or Jess' streams finally!

Also I think we should call Scott “Sunshine Scott” since he's so positive like a sunshine all the time!

Love these Marvel Brick books coming out. Compendium’s are such a great option after epics or trades if people are introduced to compacts and the tpb. Thinking these will be $74.99 since epics are now $54.99. Maybe up to $99 but then better to get Omnis. Would buy three of these shown if they started here.

I think you guys got it wrong on the dimensions of those Marvel Bricks. They don’t look like compendium size at all. They literally look like the size of a brick. They almost appear to be the dimensions of a paperback book but a little bit larger. The ratio on length to width appears to be 2:1. That is not normal compendium size. It would be helpful if Marvel released the dimensions, but I guess that will come.

Great show guys.

Marvel should reprint Incredible Hulk Epics #13 and #14 now that the gap between the Mantlo and David runs has been closed

Also the Daredevil Modern Era Epic #1 is such a missed opportunity. Many many miniseries that could have been collected there like Daredevil Father, Battlin' Jack Murdock, Marvel Knights by Chuck Dixon, Daredevil/Spider-Man etc. or at least all that spinoff stuff should have been Epic #2 and Bendis run starts with #3, but whatever.

The Brick compendiums sound interesting but the only way they'd be appealing to me is if we see some comprehensive reading orders. Like all of Bendis' Avengers collected together or Uncanny X-Men with New Mutants, X-Factor and Excalibur included, things like that. Basically what DC has done with Johns and Tomasi's Green Lantern run. Some can certainly stand by themselves but reading orders across multiple titles are a huge benefit of doing this format.

I like the idea of Marvel compendiums but I'm looking for something more comprehensive. For example, with X-Force, there have been several different iterations of the title, but it looks like the Uncanny X-Force book will deal with just one iteration of X-Force and then no more. With Spider-Man, again, I'd like to see a comprehensive compendium line, not something that's split up by various storylines. At least with Uncanny X-Men, it looks like there will be 6 books in the collection, which is a nice start. I do really like DC Finest in that the years covered by each volume are included on the spine, to help organize the books

If the Bricks make the choice to include the Classic X-men bauckups, and print them all in CHRONOLOGICAL STORY ORDER, I’m absolutely head over heels. Even if they have a higher pricepoint than the DC Compendiums, they’ll be far too irresistible.
But if this format is just mapped the same way as the Omnibus and the Epics, what a disastrous bust. I know a bunch of people that already had the Geoff Johns GLantern Omnibus but still couldn’t resist buying DC’s Compendiums because of the perfect reading orders. I hope and am tentatively optimistic that Marvel recognizes that.

Cool, but there are some titles I would want to read in a better format than these bricks. Xforce by Kyle and Yost is one of them.

Yeah…three and a half copies per store and then out of stock for 3 years. Gee, I can’t wait for those compendiums.

Thanks for the stance on AI Dom! I cant believe how quickly it's taking over and the cost of that

Just the Punisher Epic, Daredevil Epic, Hulk Epic, and Iron Man Epic for me

Ooh, another awful graphic design choice from the big 2. Imagine having your shelf with all these huge MARVEL BRICK. As if the bright red blocks all over my library wasn't enough of an eye sore already. It's in total contrast (in a bad way) with the plane title design. The top of the spine screams "Cheap Lego for 3 year olds" while the bottom looks like boring Art books on interior design. I say this as a graphic designer myself and am curious what Curtis his opinion would be.
And don't get me wrong, I'm glad Marvel steps in the compendium arena but with the price of Epics right now, I don't see them being cheaper than $80...
