I haven't heard this one before, very good. Though fourteen sixty-fourths (14/64), oh dear, Freeman meant seven thirty-seconds (7/32) or 0.21875".

Goodness me, what a plot of twists and turns. I don't think I will be able to think of train journeys and watercolour painting in the country the same way again... but will check that my ox gall is in my paintbox and fortifying wagyu beef sandwiches in my lunchbox too. Thank you for another mystifying adventure into forensics. And as always the beautiful narration brings the characters to life. 🌟

VERY happy to see R. Austin Freeman's work here, narrated with your superb intonation and pace! Do you think you'll ever plan to read Freeman Wills Crofts? He's the Golden Age Detective author I enjoy most. Thank you very much for branching out, as I'm not devoted to Conan Doyle's bizarre story elements (e.g., trained animals, Polynesian midgets and such) and listened to the Holmes canon only because you were reading them.
