Its taken me two days and then this video this morning to catch up with the last 8-12 months of videos on this channel. I just found out about Zwift! I have zero cycling experience besides basic ride around town stuff and am super excited! 2026 will be the year i purchase an indoor setup and join the community. Thank you for making such great videos full of all the information one would need. I look forward to starting my journey as soon as i can, But will continue to look forward to your video uploads. #20. I bought the Play before virtual shifting was available. Steering is really important in racing, EVEN IF YOU DON’T use the buttons. My experience from at least 100 Team Time Trials with steering (maybe more) is that a rider with steering interacts with the game (Pack Dynamics) to draw you into the draft. Without steering, the team and the rider have to adjust to get the same effect. In a regular raced, I’m always making small steering adjustments to get the highest draft effect - the widest blue drafting line.

Another great video Adam. I thoroughly enjoy your content. These tips were beneficial even for a seasoned zwifter as myself. I never knew about the zwiftracing app site. Also the tip about a proper warmup before events is spot on. Ever since I took your advice and started doing a proper warmup (instead of easy riding) before the race my race results have improved. Now just to figure out how to better use the draft.

I will say I make my best gains from racing because it makes me push myself.

Also wanted to say good job on the tour. I have been watching the live stream replays and you are crushing it. Unfortunately, I cannot comment because comments are turned off on the replays. Thanks for including the warmup again on stage 3. I have been missing those from your previous 3 or 4 live stream replays which start as the race begins. Good luck on tomorrow’s stage.

Definitely going to try the 30% trainer difficulty tip in todays ZRL which has plenty of climbing.
