This is so cool! I worked in the MTB industry in the early to mid 90s and love bikes from that era. Up until just last year, the only MTB I had and rode was my custom Land Shark Dirt Shark built new from the frame up in 1993. Halson, Lightspeed Titanium, Ringlé, Mavic, Hersey Racing, Race Face, onZa, Real Design, XTR, and lots of one of a kind prototype parts and hardware. It's like a living museum of early 90s high end cool.

I still love it and it's very ridable but it's mostly a wall hanger now. It would be cool to have a reason besides simple nostalgia to get it out. That 30+ year old bike gets way more attention on the trail (at least from the, uh, older demographic) than the Intense Sniper XC I ride now.

I’m (in Canada) still riding my 1989 Gary Fisher Advance Shimano Mountain LX 3x7 drivetrain and Shimano cantilever front and rear rim brakes. It’s like as new condition as I’m no stump jumper or rock climber and mainly use it for in town bike path and light packed trail. Non stubby tires use the Continental Double Fighter III 26 x 1.90 tires they are good for street and trailer use.

I let go my Gary Fisher paragon at a yard sale like maybe 18 years ago man I wish I held onto that😂

love the video! I have had many of these bikes at one time and still have too many :) trek giant cannondales gary fishers ralieghs and the trek y3 always felt the best like a higher end Mountain Cycle San andreas even though it was lower spec. Would love to do something like this around here. Would have liked to a few gopros during the ride.
