The one thing I can confidently conclude: Nathan was failed by the adults around him starting at a young age. $300 million worth and you can’t get him the absolute best care and support from the start??? Mom gambling away his trust? Messed up family.

Wildddd that his mom felt so entitled to her father’s money but then turned around and left her son out of her will intentionally.

I am autistic. I deeply adore and appreciate the time and effort you take to educate other people about those on the spectrum. The way you are able to make a case both interesting and educational for so many people is such a wonderful thing. Thank you for the work that you do!

What a conflicting case…I honestly don’t know what to believe.

my thoughts on the grandfather is maybe nathan saw how depressed his grandfather was, and maybe his grandfather spoke to nathan about how he didn’t want to live anymore without his wife and nathan thought he was doing something good for his grandfather. just a theory!

The fact that it doesn't make sense, he was found so far from where they were. Makes me think he killed his mother and stayed on the boat for a few days. Then later on, sunk it. Which is why he was found ok and untouched. Extremely far from where they were.

If it were the plot of a movie, his mom would have been the one to kill his grandfather and he would be the one to kill the mother in revenge. But as is, we’ll never know

It seems like the whole family are red flags. . .🚩

I wonder if Nathan killed his grandfather in a “mercy killing”. He may have heard his grandfather say he didn’t want to live without his wife and interpreted that as something Nathan was supposed to do. As for his mother, I couldn’t say. It seems like he was failed as a young child. With their kind of money they could have gotten him the right kind of help and put him in a school with children who would have understood him. Idk it’s all very sad and I’m so glad we’ve come such a long way from when autism was a foreign diagnosis

Thanks so much for giving such a good explanation of autism and why he was expressionless when he gave the interview. He probably was working from a script he had in his head. I've 2 autistic kids and I'm a fixer too and it's horrible to not be able to do something when they are left out. It's a physical pain that you can't describe. Thanks for speaking about and highlighting this ❤

As an autistic person, i feel its kind of 50/50 on whether he did it or not. Autistic people are generally honest to a fault, but it doesn't mean we have no capability to deceive. There have been plenty autistic murderers but many are open about it. This is definitely a tough one.🤔

Thank you for shedding the light on the fact that Nathan is autistic. My brother has autism and when we lost our dad, he seemed "emotionless" to people too. People don't understand that those who have autism have a hard time expressing themselves & it's even way harder when they feel like they have a lot of eyes on them. In the funeral, my brother wouldn't sit near anyone and he would just wander off. Having a lot of people around him didn't make him feel good/safe. So I understand why would Nathan ask to be left alone by the media and everyone else. It's a lot for them. It makes them feel overwhelmed.

Plot twist being it was the aunties and they framed him. They didn’t like how the grandfather favoured him, they found out he had a mistress, they didn’t like how the father supported the sister even after physical fights, killed him.

Still didn’t like the sister, knew she was going to blow all the inheritance, tampered with boat, she died and they hoped he would die too but he didn’t. That’s why they went so hard after him even though other family members were also mentioned…

I didn't expect the ending. So much tragedy in one family. Thanks Bella for the video🩶

Regardless of the specifics in this case I’d like to make something clear- To anyone who does not know yet I ask you to please give us individuals with autism some grace with how we act around death, funerals, wakes, etc. Just because it might not look the same to you does not mean we are unaffected. In fact when my partner died, it was so bad I had to be hospitalized. Yet at the wake, surrounded by people (some people didn’t even know him too, which was weird/uncomfortable) I literally couldn’t physically show emotions. I was literally begging to d!3 too and couldn’t show it… so please if you do not have autism yourself or do not know someone with autism do not judge how they deal with these traumatic situations.

The fact that Nathan is on the autism spectrum, was put through some pretty traumatic things like the whole kidnapping wilderness camp thing (which I think should be totally illegal all around), and how much we still don't know about how autism affects different people, makes this case so so hard to figure out. Without the autism spectrum diagnosis, there are things like his lack of emotion and expression, and cutting the interviews off as big red flags, but for someone on the spectrum, those two things honestly are pretty normal things, especially if the person easily gets overstimulated in certain circumstances. We don't have the same linear thinking that someone not on the spectrum would have, and the whole out of sight out of mind thing has been proven to be something we on the spectrum struggle with, so I could easily see that the gun gets lost, misplaced, or taken, and you forget about it, forget that you should go file a report, and thus your actions look guilty to someone who doesn't struggle with those issues.
That being said, obviously there would be a lot more suspicion involved if he were to just have messed around with the boat, and then his mother went out by herself and died when the boat sank but if you are on the boat as well much less suspicious. Sadly I don't think we'll ever really know what happened beyond the absolute truth of the fact that poor Nathan was totally failed by those around him and he suffered so much because of it. I am so sorry that the family has had to endure so much tragedy and will never really have answers or closure about what really happened.

This case is really confusing and I honestly don’t know who to believe or what to think…just when you feel sorry for one person you realise they aren’t so great and you feel for another…to find out they are also not so great😅 what a hard case to crack!!

I’m impressed by the way you worded that Nathan is on the autism spectrum instead of saying Nathan is autistic. The person always comes before the diagnosis!

It actually is amazing the amount of guns that are "misplaced" "lost" & "stolen" in the cases of homicide....honestly quite stupid that they think authorities will take that as truth.

What a sad ending for everyone
