I love how this show just naturally evolved from "Jack and Dean do different jobs!" into "Jack and Dean get caught up in a crime ring" and I never really questioned any of it

I like how Paul being a homophobe (and "really?", "Aren't they extinct already...? well they should be", etc) is an ongoing joke.

Old Paul is one of my favourite characters, such a shame he’s a bit of a homophobe

Wonder if Young Paul is any more or less homophobic than Old Paul

Hi I’m Gary from crime IT support

That fight scene was brutal

God I hate when cancelled shows end on cliffhangers...

Why is this not on Netflix?
It's so good and well made

Jack's kite metaphor made me fully cry. I was just misty eyed until "and I fuckin' love that kite" and then I lowkey lost it for a minute. I feel like I've been waiting for Jack to admit that he loves Dean since the start of this series. I feel like DEAN has been waiting to hear it for the entire series. It's not like the audience didn't all know how much Jack cares about Dean--I mean it's reflected in pretty much everything he does throughout the whole series--but he's got these walls up, to the point where Dean, his best friend in the whole world, is insecure about their relationship. Jack's good for a big gesture--breaking in to prison to see Emma, standing up to his parents for Dean. But he's not great at just simply saying it. I mean, the Jack/Emma scenes in the prison episode are great, and he obviously cares for her very much, but there's not a lot of genuine sincerity. Not like the kite dialogue. What Jack says here is genuine, real emotion, without any jokes or fronts or quippy remarks. Finally, after all this time, after so many times he played up how much Dean annoyed him, after pushing Dean away time and again, some of Jack's walls came down.

This got really long, but tl;dr the kite metaphor killed me dead and this series contains some pretty complex character development for what seems (at first glance) like a fluffy little comedy series. (Maybe that's the real joke)

“And I fcuking love that kite” when I say I nearly cried

"you kissed once!"

"We did more than kiss."

"What?"

"We held hands."

WOW!!!! SO SCANDALOUS!!!!

getting to rewatch jadoat has genuinely made my december so much easier to get through and so much better. im putting off writing this long comment until the absolute final but i love this show so much and im still so stupid proud of these boys(men?)

'Not soz mate' 🤣 my favourite gag

Just bloody ADORE this series tbh

"Show some respect!"
sound of something hitting something
"Soz mate!"
God I love this. If you want to make a kickstarter for a season 3 I'd back it in a heartbeat.
