I'm an older rider who downsized to the TS660. I grin like a fool every time I ride it. It's the perfect combination of fun, comfort, and touring capability.

I re-winded the tips at the beginning at least 5 times hahaha ! All jokes aside, I have ordered my Tiger Sport 660 in roulette green, I'm 6.1ft - it was crazy hard to choose because I looooooove the Trident (looks, ergos, handling) but I went with the Sport 660 exactly because I want to go far and for longer trips! If I was loaded I would just get both  😆

Well, there is something good that the Chinese are doing right at least, is forcing this Brands to put more standard features on this Bikes, oh boy I love competition.

Just bought one today - a used 2022 - and am heading off to tour Ireland on it this weekend… my first tour after a year and a half riding and 5 months with my licence. Bike feels wonderfully smooth and friendly to ride - very polished. Can’t wait to see how I get on with it.

From a short guy, height doesn’t make any difference, it’s the inseam length that is crucial.

this is the only touring bike i can consider getting. It looks very sporty and not at all like the common bulky touring bikes that are mostly out there

As an American I'll take all three tips in stride. Thanks for an excellent review. I test rode a Trident and Striple r on the same day. Thought the 660 engine was great, all I would need for an exciting ride. Ended up buying the Striple for better suspension and brakes for a small upcharge. The extra 40hp was a nice bonus as well.

I tried both 660 amd 800 the 660 felt more fun and flickable

Great review for a great bike. This is top of my shortlist for short touring once I have gained more experience through another year of riding. I know enough of my abilities that the 660 is plenty quick enough for me.

I'm itching to pass my A2 once I've got my car license out of the way. Recovering from hip surgery gives you a lot of time to think about the future!

Wish they kept the original blue colour it was so nice, cruise control and quickshifter as standard is so nice though, the yamaha tracer 7 is pretty good competition now with its updates

Interesting review. What about vibration when cruising at higher speed and any comparison with the Tiger Sport in this respect. A test ride of the new Tracer 7 would make an interesting general comparison too.

Another great video Tim. Looking at these for a first bike (alongside the other culprits), unfortunately the Tiger Sport 660 seems to be a no from insurers. I'm mid-30's, just doing DAS. Quotes for Speed Twin 900 are around £400, Honda CB500x about £450 but the cheapest for the TS660 is £1100... Even the tracer 7 is around the £650 mark... A real shame. 500X leading the way as a first all rounder at the mo for me .. if you can swing a test/review 😅

Just awaiting delivery of my Roulette Green LAMS/A2 restricted as my first bike. Looking forward to it.
It’s restricted to about 50 hp but I’m sure it’ll be more than sufficient for a year or two.
