My theory is that danny is obsessed with cleaning because he's a single father, as while he does have a steady career and multiple people to supervise the girls he's at work, single parents are more prone to checks by officials if one little thing worries teachers at school so he keeps the house clean to show he's stable which gets me annoyed at mainly the adults but also dj and Stephanie (but only a little bit as they're kids) as they should understand a clean house is a safe environment for kids and they're living there for free so they should help out.

I feel he does this to compensate for pams loss. For decades women managed the home while men worked. She was cook. Taxi driver, nurse, cleaner, refree etc. Then women began to work more and men had to fill these roles. Hes trying to be both a dad and a mom. Packing lunches, cleaning, displine, the whole 9 yards on top of his job. So he works extra hard to fill a void 2 once filled. Joey and Jesse help but ultimately its his responsibility. If they have a date, job interview or just a night off its thier right. I feel this is his stress showing, the constant cleaning. But he learns tp just do the best he can and not over do it.
