It’s crazy how watching someone else declutter their belongings is so satisfying. ❤❤

"They play with it some, but normally I just step on it." So relatable! 😂

Tip for the seashells, my daughter glued all her seashells on a photoframe. Then you can put a photo in it from the trip to Florida. ❤

Maybe do a craft night with daughter & the seashells
mold them into a stone/resin for backyard?

Just found your video/page today as I’m trying to get the inspiration to do the same thing in my house today. 😂and let me tell ya I feel like I’m watching you declutter MY own house! Lol we have o many of the same toys, same struggles, same tonies they don’t listen to and it’s more of a me problem to get rid of lol, and same “shove everything in a bag or cart and drag it around the house” play style. 🤪😮‍💨😂😅 also - my baby is JJ too!! “Did we just become best friends?!” 😂 solidarity — thanks for sharing!!

The baby loves watching your hand as you talk with it.  So cute.

Your son is adorable! The way he looks at you is so precious!!

I have 1 teddy bear from my childhood! I feel like it’s ok to keep 1 or 2 sentimental things 😊

Seashells are our outdoor toys, we use them for making fairy houses!

I think you would find greater success if you offered more storage. That way you can label the bins with a picture and a matching word, similarly to how preschool rooms sort and organize toys. Pull that toy shelf from downtstairs and put it upstairs to make everything accessible and easier to put away?

Yesssss! My kids find random rocks and stickers and they make crafts that are in every nook and cranny. Oh and the kids meal toys that grandparents get them.

Great video! My two little ones love the same type of play - they fill up their backpacks, purse, stroller with all different small parts of toys and then scatter around the house! 😅 We ended up donating our play food and now our kids use legos and magnatiles for their pretend food, they get very creative with it. I also started a  system with puzzles that you mentioned. They are each able to take one puzzle out at a time and if they want another one then they need to give me back their current one first. I keep puzzles on a shelf in our walk in pantry in the kitchen since it’s the most convenient spot for me because they play mainly in our living room, you could even declutter a kitchen cabinet/shelf to store puzzles. This significantly has helped with clean up since they love combining all the small pieces of different toys!

Im in the same situation! I feel like I JUST went through all the toys to declutter and here I am again…

As kids growing, my parents had the rule that our toys were played with in our rooms. The only items to be used elsewhere in the house was books / puzzles & games. I could take a stuffed animal if I was watching TV, but it had to go back to my room when I was done. I may be considered strict in today's world, but we had our boundaries & it was cool.

Great ideas! I have started to use travel momentos for crafting projects, things like shells, tickets, brochures etc. Better ones end up in frames on the wall or bookshelf. These bring me joy and memories, but are not overwhelming. :)

Hi Allison.
Congratulation on the organization!
With 03 children we always have to use it!
❤😊kiss

Love this video! It’s such a great idea as toys seem to multiply fast! Also JJ is adorable ☺️

You look good in a hat!

I really love this method! I was already doing the same without knowing it was a proper thing. There is some item that he doesn't really ask for and I end up selling/donate them and there is some toys I would alway keep in the garage because if it's in his room, he won't really play with it but when I put them away, every couple months he asks for them, play for a couple days and then move on so I'm fine keeping thoses. We're currently expecting our second and I'm more and more thinking about declutering some from his room (like sharable toys). We'll see how it goes.

I am so bad at decluttering my toddlers toys! We have so many cars and trucks of all kinds and then little people and sets and I just can’t seem to let any go because my son knows what he has!You did such a great job! Side note that little garage truck is one of my son’s favorite small trucks ever and JJ might really like it in a few months!
