I use old plastic CD cases to do that because they are flat and you can do a tire in one shot.

Been building models almost my entire life. This is the first time I have seen using popsicle sticks and tongue depressors to paint raised surfaces. Genius! I also  like the nail  polish brushes. Did not know they had such fine tips. Will defintely use some of those.

thank you so much Matt, can always learn from your well done videos

Hey brother, I've been model building for a VERY long time. And I just learned quite a few tips
that will definitely help me in my future building! THANK YOU so much for that. I appreciate
ALL of your videos. Even when you show something that I'm already aware of, it brings to life
the thought that I am not alone with some of the things I do? So again Matt, thank you for doing
what you do every week and giving all of us something to think about or try, or just make sure
that we don't do that! The hobby only benefits from folks like yourself & other content creatures.

Wow! I have been painting small miniatures for years and I have never seen any of these techniques. I can’t wait to implement some of these to see if it makes some of my detail work easier. Thanks so much for sharing this.

Great tips, especially for those whose hands aren't as steady as they used to be. Thanks, Matt.

First timer here.   I greatly appreciate your information !   Thank You.

FINALLY ! I found a how to channel I've been building models for about a year, I've done about 15 models, (I'm retired)

Great vid as always. We all need refresh tips to help us along. You never know when someone going to come up with something you have done or heard of. I always enjoy tips and never shut myself down from learning something new. Thanks again.

I use to do models a long time ago and my dad was amazed at the detail I put into the models I would build like the lettering on the tires and painting each nut and bolt on the model (done it all with tiny brushes) one time I was doing a model and I went so far as getting super tiny wire in order to cut down and make spark plug and coil wire for the model. Lately I been thinking of getting back into doing it but looking at getting a better set up (IE airbrush and such) used to do the little rattle can to paint the body and such.

I find doing the little details on models very relaxing and enjoyable when the model is all done and looks as if it was a full size car that has been shrunk down and could be driven off.

My favorite model I built was a 1/12 1967 Vette I worked delivering news papers (yes I am that old lol) and saved up to get the kit, when I got it home from the store I sat down and decided the version I was going to be building was going to be super charged with a blower on top of the motor I spent couple weeks building it and putting all the details I could into it (this was before the internet) so I spent hours looking at old pictures in magazines of that year corvette so I could get the details perfect.

Preparation is key to these videos

As a relatively new painter of RC cars and trucks, this video was SO helpful!  Thanks for sharing.  I appreciate you taking the time to explain it for some of us newbies!

Excellent tips! That's the kind of content that I look for. Thank you!

The tip with the wooden sticks for painting inscriptions of tires is ingenious. Thank you very much!

That engine you used to show your techniques looks great. Thanks for sharing these tips.

You taught this old dog some new tricks. Thanks!

I've been modeling for 2 decades and have learned something new today. Thank you sir. This is much more effective than dry brushing.

I'm trying to get my dad back into car models so everything in here is new to me.
